Hey guys, hope everyone is well. I noticed when checking price changes that a 'New Dealer' membership has been added along side the regular 'Dealer' account. I presumed this is as it states and for new dealers but as there are beneficial price differences for the newer account I wondered if anyone knew anything about these differences. I don't remember seeing a notification and haven't seen a thread. |

I noticed this a couple of days ago too. Planned on asking sometime soon. Maybe someone will respond here. "New Dealer" seems self explanatory on the surface but I'm not sure why new dealers would get a bigger discount on grading than dealers that have been around for years. Unless it's some sort of temporary foot in the door type thing that goes away in a month or two |

If I am correct, "new dealers" (Just like regular dealers) must submit a certain amount of books to get that discount. So, I think new dealers are on a probationary period.

@dfoster43 I had never seen any of John Mulaney's stand-up until the past month or two, and I really enjoyed it but I was thinking "what are all these old man TV and movie references"? So I looked it up and he's basically the same age as me.

Quote:Originally Posted by sborock @sborock thanks for the response Steve. So is there anyway for existing dealers to benefit from these great savings? I understand the need to bring on new business for any company but existing dealers submitting hundreds of books over a year would also benefit massively from these rates during their ongoing and continued support of CBCS. |

@sborock the membership page https://www.cbcscomics.com/membership says that new dealers get a few bucks discount per book on top of the regular dealer discount. So if your description is correct, dealers on the probationary period get a great deal but once out of that period they get 'just' a good deal.
