What Are You Watching?: Part II16640

Moderator Jesse_O private msg quote post Address this user
I just finished watching the second episode of "Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities". The first episode was okay. Nothing special about it. In fact, I was kind of disappointed by it. However, this second episode freaked me out!! I guess that I will finish watching the series.

@GanaSoth let me know what you think. Sunday is football all day, so it'll probably be Monday or Tuesday before I watch any more of it.

I've been catching up on Andor. I finished episode 4 last night. While I was in Disney+ I noticed that they have New Mutants.

DC comics fans may be interested in season 3. They have introduced Mister Bones, Jade and Obsidian. They are possibly setting up an appearance by Infinity Inc.

@Jesse_O @GAC Alright, so far, my review/feelings on the show "Cabinet of Curiosities" has been that its a pretty good show. I have watched episodes #1 and #2 and I have like both about the same amount. I think Episode #1 was good because it had the guy that played in "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" - Tim Nelson in it. And Episode #2 was an adventure in itself, which also had a great actor in it from that older SciFi TV show "Stargate Atlantis" - David Hewlett, whos performance was quite good. I think all in all my wife and I will enjoy the rest of this series once we watch it, but then again, how can you go wrong with horror.

Guillermo Del Toro is an immense talent. I know he's not directing these shows but he's the creative force behind it. I've always loved Rod Serling and the Twillight Zone and these remind me of that...kinda like Love Death + Robots (another cool Netflix show).

We're going to check one of these out tonight followed by the new "Halloween Ends" which, I must say, one can only hope lives up to its name.

We watched the full 14 minute version of Thriller because I wanted to show my daughter. Turns out my wife had never seen it either, only the song-length version.

Yep!! I love her!!! Between her voice and her eyes, I get transported to an area between time and space. I've also listened to her "24 Carat Gold" concert from 2020(?). Album came out in 2017, but the concert video came out in 2020. Right now, I'm watching her "Broadcasting Live" concert.

Edit - concert footage from 2017.

Some seasons have been good, that one was. But some are just full of Ryan Murphys obsession with Gay S&M Crap and basically unwatchable.

"Freaks" was good, and the first season was mostly good. The "Murder Hotel" was also mostly good.

But man oh man what is it with him thinking rubberized gay S&M BS is what anyone wants to watch?

hey but that's why God made remote controls, right?
