And is that Jennifer Jones? Is Jennifer Jones going to fight werewolves? Like ... Defenders-style? ... Luke Cage vs Moon Knight anyone?

Oooh you know you're right! Thanks! Yeah they look similar, but now I know her, she's the actress from The Nevers.

She's GREAT! And Elsa Bloodstone the monster hunter ... cool family business ... LOL. Well, however they do this I hope it's not just the one-off show, I hope it's a series.

HEY I just realized if Man-Thing is in there, and with them bringing Wong up so much in She-Hulk maybe they're going to be bringing out a "Midnight Sons" series? I mean they have a Ghost Rider (from Agents of Shield), and Iron Fist happened and there was talk of Blade coming back ... throw in a Doctor Voodoo and there's your new Midnight Sons right there.

I just watched the movie "Bomb City". It is based on the real life murder (voluntary manslaughter) of a punk rocker named Brian Deneke in Amarillo, Texas in 1997. It's very troubling to watch if you have any empathy at all. I wasn't even aware of this murder until I watched this. Reading up on the actual events, the film seems to be an accurate representation of what Brian Deneke must have gone through.

Word of warning, do not let young ones watch it!!!

Just watched The Batman - overall was pretty good -would watch more of this in the future...only a few complaints

1) too long!!!
2) Catwomans hat was stupid
3) Nirvana through the whole film took me out of it...ok Somethin in the Way I'm sure they meant to have 'deep' meanins...but I just keep singin 'it's ok to eat fish because they don't have any feelings'...not super moody!!
4) Batcar was also stupid....with jets and all sorts of junk could barely catch a Maserati??

a few other little things here and there but overall better than some bat offerings

Just catching up with this thread. I thought Rambo: Last Blood was hilarious and dumb but still kinda funny.
Saw 2 movies at the theatre today, The Woman King w/ "Amanda Waller" and the David Bowie flick Moonage Daydream in IMAX!
Woman King was pretty good. Viola Davis does a good job of making us believe she can kick anyone's ass at her age.
Moonage Daydream illustrates the life of Bowie thru his narration and his music. They made full use of the Imax screen and also had the audio cranked! It sounded great!
In a couple of weeks I'll be seeing DIO: Dreamers Never Die at the same AMC theatre.

Was at a friends house today and watched about 30 minutes of the middle part of Elvis. I have to say it made me want to watch the whole thing. I'm not sure if it was the just the actor or something real, but when Elvis spoke on serious things his speech pattern was eerily similar to that of Bill Clinton.

Got around to watching Samaritan on Prime last night. It was better than I expected but I wouldn't go higher than 'good' overall. It raises so many obvious questions that are completely unaddressed that it feels incomplete.

The latest Bond offering.....was a good movie but I'm torn on what the future holds.

spoilers

They killed Bond - how do you have a franchise when you killed the guy the franchise was about. Oh...it was about 007 you say, not Bond...to that I reply that you are insane!!!, the film were about Bond who happened to be 007 - They also killed Felix!!! - b@stards!!

Before I would just take it for granted that I would watch the next Bond film as they insert a new lead actor....but I'm not sure I'm as easily on board if this becomes a 007 and not Bond franchise

Oh well.... I own all but the modern ones on DVD and a # of the books (even 1st print of the first book not written by Broccoli) so I can always watch those again (and I do!) 60 some years was a good run - RIP

@KatKomics I always liked the fan theory that 'James Bond' is as much a position as 007 is. How else would you reconcile the guy in, say, Diamonds are Forever with the guy in Quantum of Solace? Or you think that it's the same guy but the movies are from different places in his life, so Craig's Casino Royale can tell his recruitment story. But I get it. They tried to make a non-Jason Bourne Bourne movie and I thought it was decent but it went nowhere.

I think if we are suspending reality when we go to see a film then all the Bond movies are from 1 guy. Bond as a position doesn't make sense to me...why then also have 007 as a position? no - it is the same guy. If we go down the position route then Felix is a position and Blowfeld. Moneypenny etc. etc. ...I think the only positions are M and Q
