Here is a brief article on the research.

I think @Flanders post shows some results ... illustrates the dangers of irresponsible breeding experiments.

@flanders I am watching this series now. It is far better than most other DC series.

@Nearmint67 That's good to hear. Over the last few years DC seem to be going down the toilet. HBO MAX is going away, the CW still mostly sucks, Batgirl and SCOOB! movies got cancelled, and I didn't even care for Super pets. What's next? I think their biggest problem is they have their finger on the wrong pulse for which direction to go.

Prey on Hulu.

I'm partial to the first Predator, but Prey was my favorite after the original.

Yeah, they (DC) have been a bit of a scatter brain the past few years.
Really hope they can get on the right track. They have soooo much material to draw from.
The older horror from DC is basically untapped. Sandman is a step in the right direction.

Let's see some shows from Swamp Thing, House of Mystery, House of Secretes, both of which were mentioned in the Sandman series with Cane & Able skits....
Or how about some Weird War Tales, Witching Hour, Weird Mystery Tales, Secrets of Sinister House, Unexpected, Sensational Mystery, Strange Adventures, Mystery In Space, Adventure, Forbidden Tales of Dark Mansion, Phantom Stranger, etc............

I totally agree with this!!! If they made a separate DCHU (DC Horror Universe) I think it could be a major boon for DC. Horror is always a sellable genre. They would need to keep it separate from the Superhero Universe though. The two themes (horror and superheroes) just don't play well together unless the superheroes are creating the horror (i.e. Brightburn). Having Superman fight Andrew Bennett (I, Vampire), just wouldn't work imo.

That's a great idea. Then you could have Swamp Thing in a Strange Adventure story, Adam Strange in a House of Secrets story and so on.... @Jesse_O is genius...

Been trying to watch this. Hulu must be getting swamped with viewers. It keeps crashing 1 to 2 minutes in.
Going to wait a while and try again.

If you didn't see Swamp Thing, I thought it was really good! I just wish they had done another couple of seasons.

I’m trying “Players” on Paramount +.

It’s a Mockumentary about an E-sports team.

I’ll never get E-sports as an arena event. But this could be fun.

I watched Prey as well. I love the concept but the execution was a mixed bag for me. It raised some continuity questions as well. I did not like the Predator design but the film was the first positive step the franchise has taken in years. I also watched it with very low expectations.

The wife and I watched ’Prey’ last night. We both loved it. I think I prefer it over the original. I say this as a bigger fan of the ‘Alien’ franchise. So, take that into consideration.

I really enjoy the show "Mighty Trains" on Smithsonian channel. It's about these exclusive luxury train trips in various parts of the world. I think cruise ships and sleeper cabin on trains are the peak of human travel experience.

Watched 13 Lives last night. You all remember this was a true event.
Ron Howard did a great job. Amazing story. I never knew how the boys were rescued.
If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend it.

Just caught this Saturday. WHAT a PLEASURE this was to watch!

Hit the right buttons all around. And yeah, I'd say I'd put it as 2nd to the original in overall enjoyment. It was a smart, well-paced and thoughtful movie that could totally stand on its own two giant alien feet.

OH did you check out the art in the end credits? LOL changes the "good feeling" ending just a bit!

GREAT film, totally recommend it!

The other is right after Arnie reloads the Uzi and is about to shoot a laying Sarah Kyle pops from behind and shoots. Look close at Arnie's right shoulder and you see an electric spark as if Kyle knew his weak spots and shot there on purpose.

Seen this at least 10 times and never noticed either until it was pointed out to me.

I found a youtube clip of the nightclub scene and had to watch it in slo-mo to see the electric spark. Pretty cool, but I don't think that's Kyle entering the night club. He was there long before the terminator, watching Sarah and waiting for the Terminator to make his move so he could spot him.

Watched "Uncharted" on Netflix. I guess you just have to give a pass to video game-based movies. Some pretty good actors doing some of the most unremarkable work I've ever seen from them. MCU Spider-Man and Mickey from Basketball Diaries doing silly action sequences and delivering lousy dialogue.

Didn't it get cancelled ? I remember watching the first 3 eps and thought it was uncharacteristically good at the time but wandered off and never finished it ... now is there a reason to take the time? I hate when they cancel things mid-cliffhanger. Seriously impressed Doom Patrol is still not cancelled!!
