What Are You Watching?: Part II16640

Season 3 was definitely the weakest of the 4. But Season 4 was a full on redemption for the series. So, so good.

I got sick of the show after finishing season 2 but I'm glad I started watching season 4 after your post. I may go back and watch the third season or continue to skip it.

This show has more consistently brought the words "This is the best show on TV" to my lips.

I wish ALL TV would give me the pleasure that this show has given me for all the right and wrong reasons.

It is ... well ... IMHO ... just so damn good. And now I will go and make one human alcohol drink.

BAT!!!

Just getting around to ‘Dr. Strange 2’. I’m not that far into it, but, is it just me, or is the CGI distractingly bad?

It’s not the type of thing I pick on, usually. But when it takes me out of the movie, it’s a problem.

There sure was a lot of it.

Now go watch Avatar and then imagine what Avatar 2 will be like with, what ... 13 years of CGI technology advances? Will we SMELL those blue bastards next??

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

I finally broke down and got Amazon Prime. With Thursday Night Football only being available through Prime, I knew I'd have to do it sooner or later. Then, during Prime Day, I got the Amazon Fire TV Stick and several streaming services at .99 each per month for two months. This series has been on my "want to watch" list since it started. I'm only on episode 1 right now.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the same about the CGI

I just finished The Eternals. I didn't really like it. There was kind of a disconnect and I didn't see anything new. A real letdown.

I finished the Sex Pistols Bio series “Pistol” on HULU, yesterday. Definitely NSFW, but the acting was top notch. That said, damn, it’s far more depressing than I’d anticipated. And not just the Sid & Nancy, part.

Definitely worth a watch if you’re at all curious about it.

I do wish they’d gone into where everyone went after the Pistols were no more. It didn’t feel like it got a proper ending. Other than that, though, it was very interesting.

I just finished the last 2 episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. I was more hopeful for the first 8. With that being said, and not giving anything up for those who haven't watched this show, the last 2 more than made up for the first 8.

Between Sunday and yesterday, I watched the entirety of the first season. I've been feeling ill the last few days, so it was easy to get into it.

I enjoyed all of the episodes, but the last two were definitely the most captivating ones. I enjoyed seeing younger versions of familiar characters and the introduction of new characters. Due to the design differences between the original series and the reboot, I find myself wondering what the original actors could have done with a set and budget like we have now. I do like what they did with the Gorns. The one scene had an obvious "Alien" feel to it, but I actually think it worked pretty well. Overall, I found it entertaining and found myself being drawn into the series. I look forward to season two.

One of the things that kinda irks me though is spock. He seems way too eager to ditch his Vulcan heritage for the human side.

@Bronte I actually enjoyed seeing Spock being a bit more human. He is younger here, so it just seemed natural to see him giving in to his human side more.

@OGJackster actually, I'm starting it today. I thought that I would binge one season of "Strange New Worlds" before getting into four seasons of "Discovery".

Oh and since strange new worlds is a spinoff of discovery the references to pikes future become more apparent once you are done watching discovery.

Game of Thrones Season One. I think this is my third time watching this show and I've read the books once.

I'm mainly watching out of boredom and I can't think of anything else to watch. Any suggestions?

@esaravo I'm not a big fan of reality tv. I enjoyed Gold Rush for a couple seasons before getting tired of it and I've seen a few episodes of Naked & Afraid, but never found it to be that entertaining.
