I'm not a hater or anything and I watch things before opining, mostly, but I watched "Morbius" Friday and I don't know if it was the movie or just a tummy full of pizza and Black n' Tans or that I started it around 11p or so but it put me to sleep 20 min in.

I woke up around the 70 minute mark and rewound it ... then fell asleep again around the 70 minute mark and woke up near the end, rewound and tried again and EVENTUALLY forced myself to finish it up around 2am but ... mmmmm ... yeah.

I was disappointed. Parts of it were okay and what I expected, really, but it was flawed.
Action sequences were hard to follow w/ the FX they chose to use.
Matt Smith was ... what the HELL were they thinking making him a villain, he's just too typecast. Didn't buy it.
Plot was 'meh' with small bursts of "oh well that part is cool' but few and far between.

Too bad, though, as it sure could be a cool Sinister Six kickoff I guess even though Morbius really wasn't an original member and whatnot I'm guessing from the two end-credits scenes that's what they're going to go with ?

@dfoster43 it's not you, the movie is quite awful. That being said I've been told I have bad taste. I enjoyed Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and Dracula Untold.

I actually enjoyed tbe 2 films you mentioned as well. Never saw morbius though. I can't picture anything Leto does as being good after seeing his portrayal of joker in ads. ( never saw suicide squad with him either)

My recent travels took me near the historical Yuma Regional Prison (think old west, border of Mexico). It put some perspective on the movie 3:10 to Yuma. So when the hotel room cable had the 1971 western "Yuma" on, I had to watch it. It was good, and a pretty complex story.

Went to the theatre for Top Gun 2. I think my second time in the theatre since 2020. It’s definitely one that should be seen in the theatre.

Finally got around to the pilot episode of “Ms. Marvel” yesterday. Man, I loved it. I hope the rest of the series holds up.

I’ve wanted Kamala’s first appearance for a long time. I’m definitely gonna pick one up now.
