What Are You Watching?: Part II16640

@xkonk Love Bosch. It only gets better. I’m a season or 2 behind, though.

Love that the lead actor, Titus Welliver is one of us. He’s a hardcore Sideshow Toy collector.

Watched star trek discovery. I thought the interaction between the new species and the crew was interesting in that universal translators didn't work and they had to find common ground to communicate. I wonder if that's how it will be when we actually do encounter a new life form and try to communicate....

Finally got around to catching up on some shows. I finished The Book of Boba Fett and today I will most likely finish Reacher. So far, Reacher is turning out to be really good!

@WMorse Margin Call is a good movie. I suggest suggest everyone watching both Margin Call and the Big Short. They go together nicely and sort of tell the story of the housing bond crash from two different perspectives.

@xkonk Bosch is good. I've watched the entire series. I had read many of the Michael Connelly books years ago. The first few seasons intertwine a few different books together into one season with the different story lines that I remembered from the books.

@Lonestar I plan on giving the first season a watch to see how it goes and then decide on the rest. A few episodes in I would say that it's well done but covers a lot of familiar territory.

Caught ‘scream’ (2022), AKA Scream 5 on Paramount+, yesterday.

While a bit heavy-handed, and saltier with the language than the other installments, I’d say it’s the best sequel they’ve made.

I’ve been watching Young Justice. I remember when the show came out on Cartoon Network and I was an immediate fan. Stopped watching when it moved to DC Universe but now that the show is on HBO MAX I can’t get enough. Already blown through 3 seasons in little over a week and half.

I just started watching Reacher on Prme, which I think is pretty good...I haven't read the books, but I enjoyed the Tom Cruise movies. I thought Reacher was a bit of an arrogant Gym Bro in a few places, but I've now been informed that he's like that in the novels...either way, it's been good so far.

I also gave up on Better Call Saul after two episodes when it started....I'm revisiting it now and made it almost through Season 1 (Once you get past the first 3 episodes it gets good). It's definitely growing on me, will likely binge watch the rest.

@dfoster43 to me I love the characters most of all. I’ve always been a fan of the sidekicks. Plus the writing is fantastic, it takes a lot of villains from across DC and every step the good guys is basically planned by the villains. Plus surprisingly it does a good job with emotions. It’s gotten me right in the feels a couple of times.

Unforgiven.....probably in my top 5 westerns

Once Upon a Time in the West -damned Charles Bronson is awesome - love when he gets off the train!
Fist Full of Dollars
A Few Dollars More
Unforgiven - only in this position as it's 'chronological'
5 is tough...Wild Bunch, Magnificent Seven, Josey Wales

Good/Bad/Ugly - just plain bad...

Ah!! so hard - 2 Mules for Sister Sara, Hang'em High, Pale Rider, High Plains Drifter!!
