I make it a goal to try and add at least one sketch per year - getting harder and harder to find convention artists I want sketches from though

I'm only about half way through the sketchbook with 30? pages left to fill - I'll have to add more than 1 a year to fill it before I kick the bucket!!

I do find though that new artists after taking a look at the prior pages tend to give me some great pieces - not always but every once in a while when I don't know what to expect I get something nice!!

Mike's swamp thing is always spot on. glad he finally got to do an actual cover of it for dc comics this past year.

I want to get rid of everything nowadays, but this'll be the one thing I keep. Story is too long to tell, but I bought this from Joe Shuster at San Diego 1977. Meeting him and talking to him is one memory I'll never forget. The picture is from the program book.

This is just unbelievable.
Yea... that'd stay with me as well for an eternity.

this is one of the things I wouldn't think of selling.

I always get my convention programs signed but this is the only one I have ever slabbed a witnessed one. The other raw programs are also NFS as they have a lot of talent that has left this world.

Until I get a higher grade copy, this isn’t for sale.

But I mean, if someone wanted to overpay by like $10k? You may have bought yourself a Creature.

@Zombie_Head that’s pretty EPIC collection. How did you find all of those? Have you ever displayed them locally? I am sure your local cultural resource managers would be salivating take a peck at that collection.

@KatKomics that is a killer collection as well. That Tim sale & Gerhard are amazing! Hand that down to someone with the stipulation it never leaves the family.

It belonged to and was purchased from a friend who passed away fairly suddenly. I tried to sell it once and I just couldn't do it. So, now I don't even consider it.

Well I have one that has me torn. I purchased the Spawn Kickstarter Trilogy Pack with the intention of sharing with my brother; basically let him have his pick and I keep the other and maybe sell the remaining. My brother past away before I received my order. It’s not about money; I could easily throw them away or get my money back if not double, triple, or quadruple, but what if sell the one he would have picked? I’d most likely feel instant sellers remorse.

Purchased personally from Marshall Rogers at the Dallas Fantasy Fair in 1990. As I was looking through his displayed artwork I came upon page 26 and snatched it immediately. Then, as I was talking to him and getting ready to complete the sale, his son (who must have been about eight or nine) began to look through the rest of the pages and found page 25 just before I was about to walk away. I would have hugged him if I could.

That's wild, same year too. I had the address info for Seigel and wanted to send my pic off to him for his signature, but I was just too afraid to let it out of my hands.
