@Batman66, I wouldn't have recognized you since most folks were wearing masks. I was glad that WonderCon was back and (as I figured) for the first time I can recall they were selling onsite tickets. Not selling out is probably due to fallout from the pandemic. I didn't miss the crush of people in the isles. I had a blast.

Got a replacement copy in today. My CGC copy has awful Newton rings while my new CBCS copy does not. Slight tradeoff, the CBCS book has appropriately small but apparent flaws while the CGC looks pristine on the front. |

The apple sauce and pudding were the best part... | Bronte private msg quote post Address this user
Ok. Picture number one is not a comic, but it looks like a joker fish. I have this thing where I tend to buy 3 of things so I got 3 fish. The amazing Spider-man I tried getting a round 10 copies but they only had 7 at cover price. The TMNT 3 I got from same place as the other TMNT 2. Looks fantastic. Big thank you to @HeinzDad for inspecting the book for me and letting me know it was for sale. |

I can't even imagine what you'd see. All I see is a really bad jack-o-lantern. Then again I have zero imagination and the innuendo cover would never came to mind if someone didn't bring it to my attention.

I am buying these out of order cause I am looking for them slabbed at a good price. I know it’s a milestone storyline, but I’ve never read it. The art is haunting. |

I must admit, like most out there, I do think some deserved a better grade but for the most part, eh, not too bad. I bought these right off the spinner rack so I can't complain too much. My biggest complaint is the 6 Million Dollar Man. I do think that should have received a better grade. Once again, I thought the problem of Newton rings was fixed. Well, it's not. |

@OGJackster A lot of mine that I got back a couple weeks ago had Newton rings. I use both companies but I think I will only use CBCS from now on.

Got this back yesterday after many, many moons. This Godzilla item was a gift to a friend. The first Godzilla in an American comic. It’s a four page newsprint handout given away at the theatrical release of ‘Godzilla Vs. Megalon’. He didn’t care what grade it got, he wanted it slabbed for display. |

So I went to Wicked Con in Boston, MA yesterday hoping to find a wall book or two. I ended up with quantity over quality, but filled in a bunch of holes in my ASM run. CBCS had a table there to accept submissions and witness signatures. I dropped off five books with an invoice I printed out the day before the new prices were posted, and the guy didn’t say anything about it. He attached my invoice to a new one of theirs, and wrote down the invoice # on it. I got the pink copy which does have the new prices listed on it. I tried to makes some deals on better books, but I wasn’t offered much in trade for my slabs (I brought an ASM #100 7.0 & an X-Men #95 9.2 for trade material). Superworld Comics had an impressive wall display and had two copies of an Adventure Comics that I am hoping to upgrade. However, the asking price for both raw copies was about 4 times above FMV. Here’s a few ASM’s that I was able to pick up. I am super busy with school work right now, so I haven’t had time to scan the rest. The #134 was my “big” book for the day. Some of these are a little rougher than I would have liked, but I figure lower grade is better than no grade at the moment. |
