9.8

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
If you bought it directly from Comics Elite and it's a new book, I'm assuming it's a 9.8.

Got a 9.8...I was thinking 9.4 max. The spine could be considered a manufacturing issue that sometimes isn't counted against the book (like those ASM 800s), but that lower right corner...

I knew it. If invisible books can "receive" any grade, I suppose real books can as well. Given the proper "motivation($)," of course.

That's crazy! the middle picture corner damage looks pretty severe....3 graders thought that book was a 9.8? Pfft....yeah right.

Trying not to buy comic books leads to boredom. Boredom leads to drinking. Drinking leads to inspiration for potential late night purchases. The internal conflict leads to really low grade books as a compromise:

On the bright side, the cover is not detached?

So I have been actively trying to save money for a copy of strange Tales 110, but a sweet deal of 10 golden age books from timely/atlas and DC presented its self to me. I don't have them in hand just yet, but I can't wait to show them to ya'll! In the meantime I just got this puppy.

I have almost bought that book a dozen times, but then I don't. I can't make it through the story when I try to read it. Great looking copy.

Thanks!! Your copy is what inspired me....while I've always loved this book because I loved the cartoon when I was a kid, your 9.8 reminded me how awesome this book is. My book is a decent copy and the price was right at $80.

@DrWatson Thanks I didn’t even realize that this book has both direct and newsstand versions I assumed it came out before direct was a thing. I’m partial to directs myself but for the price I paid I don’t mind the barcode.

Absolutely! I wish they made a Hulk one too like the Hulk cartoon that ran right after.

There's this but I don't know if the book pre-dates the animation or vice versa.

Buy what you like they say. Generally don’t like to buy pre graded, but sometimes that is what you find.

With this in, that's my last CGC submission out there. I'm Free!!!! Minus, of course, some possible SS submissions depending on who they get in there.

I'm pretty happy with this grade, didn't think it would go above a 5 or so. Again not sure if it was bad grading on my part, over grading on CGC's, or if the press I had done was more fruitful than I thought it might be. Either way, happy with it.

Ok. These two have been on my MCS watch list for years!!! When they showed up, they were either sold quickly or graded and priced to reflect that. So, back in January or February, I was surprised when an affordable copy of 406 popped up. I had some cash, so I bought it. As it was on it's way to me in February, an affordable copy of 405 popped up so I snagged that one. MCS graded the 405 as a Fine!!! I'll take a Fine like this one any day and twice on Sundays!!! I decided to wait on showing the 406 until I got the 405. Well, it showed up today!!! I'm stoked to add these to my collection!!! I look forward to reading them both very soon.

Took 1.5 years, but linebreakerscomics made it worth the wait. After their posting of a bunch of books being damaged I expected a 9.6. Boy was I wrong!!!!!
