Got in a 2 of my last 3 submissions at CGC yesterday. Now just waiting for the Tomb of Dracula #1 they still have. Been looking for decent copies of these 2 for a while for the PC, got them fairly cheap. Godzilla #1 came back, honestly, at higher grade than I expected. I don't know if it's just a CGC over-grading or the press I had done did a lot more good than I thought it would. And Star Wars #1 was about what I expected. I was hoping the press might improve it a half grade or so, but this is what I got: |

Got these in today. Wanted to test my grading abilities so I didn’t check the grades. This one I had at a 6.5-7.0 This one 8.5 was hoping for higher but I’m pleased. This one I was way off. Had it 5.0-5.5 And finally had this at 4.5-5.0 Overall I’m very pleased. Gotta tighten up on my grading a bit. |

Missing chunk is a bit more pronounced in person than picture, but it still looks decent and I finally have my grail. |

@Batman66 Yes. I traded a hulk 181 and a batman 48 or 49 I forget and a bunch if other low end books. All in less than 3k for this book. |

@Darkseid_of_town Yes. The only other book I'm remotely interested in now is FF5, but honestly I have what I want and my collection is pretty much complete. =) |

Quote:Originally Posted by etapi65 Thanks so much for the info! What I am doing is collecting the raw sig versions and here's why: I realize having a witnessed sig is prudent. I would much rather. But in my research, I have found that the differences in pricing is about $150. I have been buying nice looking raw signed Crisis books for between $30-$50 as compared to $400-$700 CGC 9.8 or even 9.6. That is what I call "The Buzzard Factor". People taking advantage of others who actually like Perez and wish him Godspeed. Crisis is a hyper-populated book. NOTHING rare about signed copies whatsoever. Nothing rare about CGC or CBCS signed books either. I simply resent the huge disparity. And all I want are one signed copy each of the series. Have great memories of a friend and I collecting it as it was released, reading the issue and second guessing the story line. I could buy a raw set of signed Crisis books in an average of 9.4 from EBay for $650. Many sellers are selling individual issues for that. FECK that. |

Lady Death: Secrets #1 Budd Root Virgin Art Holofoil edition (43/69) Bought this way back in August. It finally got to come home from CGC. Looks so damn cool. Love the background texture on the back cover. Small little designs that you don’t notice at first. |

I don't normally buy new books but the art work is great and I enjoy stories about the Rogues. Just have to wait till book 2 and 3 are released now. |

Got this back from CGC. That was the only option for slabbing from Comics Elite. Assuming that these three corners are the only areas of note for the book; any guesses as to the grade? |

If you bought it directly from Comics Elite and it's a new book, I'm assuming it's a 9.8.

Got a 9.8...I was thinking 9.4 max. The spine could be considered a manufacturing issue that sometimes isn't counted against the book (like those ASM 800s), but that lower right corner...

I knew it. If invisible books can "receive" any grade, I suppose real books can as well. Given the proper "motivation($)," of course.
