LCS had the collection they bought for 3/book today. Got in line at 715 for a 9am opening, was 2nd in line. Guy in front of me was going for xmen books so I was set. I guess they took out venom 3 7 and 9 from the cates run as they were missing, but got everything else. Always happy when I can fill gaps and buy keys for that cheap(venom vs carnage complete set for 12 bucks? Yes please!). That being said, I'll have to replace bags and boards on some but every issue besides the west coast avengers 1 is immaculate. Only defects I've seen when going over them were a couple of very minor non color breaking spine ticks.

@MurrayC, my last two posts were earned via selling, some book work, and an unexpected bonus from last years employer. It always seems to be sweeter when we don’t dip into our pockets.... Congrats!

Just got this in, generally being a diehard Marvel fan. I’m finding I’m enjoying Suoergirl and Wonder Woman covers. I dig this high grade Adventure Comics 410.

When I was very young and impressionable this serialized 12 part cliff hanger 1952 movie was on, and I was mesmerized by Commando Cody with his cool helmet and jet pack. How is it we never became human missiles?

I loved the serial, I saw it in the late 70's on one of the local channels. One of the reasons I enjoyed The Rocketeer so much.

Just picked up a couple more boxes. Among the later ASM issues and a decent stack of other Dark Horse Star Wars books, I found these. All newsstand variants.

Without football on Sundays, I'm struggling to fill my time. I went to two shops this weekend.

From LCS1. The XM 109, 112, and 114 are all Mark Jeweler variants. The 121 is super sharp.

From LCS2. I can't resist high grade copies of UXM 202, 268 and annual 14 when I see them out and about.

That Marvel super heroes book is a key waiting to happen with the story from the unpublished issue 24 of Ms. Marvel and the 2nd chronological, albeit not in order, appearance of Saber tooth.

Impulse purchase- Most of my upgrades are like this.

It has some strong sun fade in the upper corner, but it's much nicer than my current copy.

@EbayMafia I wish. Just thought these were cool covers and only 5-10 each, why not.

@Studley_Dudley That's a pretty big haul to pull in one week after the Super Bowl splurge. Hope you got some good deals. Love the Mark Jeweler X-men.

@Darkseid_of_town The only reason I got it was for the unpublished Ms Marvel #24 that was solicited but never released.

@Batman66 @EbayMafia Thank you. The MJ inserts pop up in the area with the Air Force base being nearby. Just depends on what kind of collection comes into the shops. I wish I had gotten to this LCS sooner. He had 96-150something of X-Men all MJ inserts. I misses out on the 100, 101, 120, and Dark Phoenix issues. Conditions were varying but I would say averaged VF.

Reasonably priced as opposed to the goons on ebay. Just a lucky place and time since the book never lasts

@bige31 the last two are from the same X-23 series as the 2 and 5 you have earlier in the pictures. MCS has some highish prices on them (especially #1) but I've never noted them to be selling for that much on eBay.

Got this one today. Not a super-desirable book necessarily, but its a 9.2 from April 1950 and a Crowley Copy, which was my initial interest in this book.
