So a forum is not a place to express opinions? Wow I guess I’ve been misinformed for ages. He’s not the problem, it’s all you old heads who cannot change with times. Your comment clearly states “man I don’t like what you’re saying, you’re whining and it hurts my feelings, if I was in charge you’d be gone bud”. I’d say you’re most likely mid to late 40’s + which clearly shows. I’m happy to get banned because this forum has done nothing about giving fair information.

Big difference between expressing opinions on a forum and using it to continually spout disparaging remarks. That should be obvious.

@sborock
@spaulus
Is anybody at this company willing to take 2 minutes to help me ?! I have been quietly patient but after 4 months- even 2 minutes worth of help would be appreciated.

I submitted 3 orders to CBCS Canada in Oakville for a total of 49 books.

The order numbers are: 21-2B7D3A0, 21-2DD4EF9 and 21-34AC83D.

The first was sent August 4th, the second was sent August 16th and the third sent September 19th. All 3 orders are still just showing as "submitted." I have clicked on the invoices and there is no change on them as well.

There has not been a single update or e-mail. One of them was even "Fastpass." CBCS has not even acknowledged to me that they have my books.

Are my books still in Oakville or are they in Florida now ?!

Can you please give me an update as I am really starting to wonder. As I said, I have not bothered CBCS and have been extremely patient recognizing that you are busy. That said, after more than four months I would appreciate even a minimal update.

Thank-you for your time.

I’m literally just waiting to get my property back. That is all. I haven’t said anything hateful or untrue. These are my opinions and I don’t see a problem with expressing them. I am sorry that I am not a part of the echo chamber that thinks CBCS does no wrong. If you don’t think the process or customer service is lacking then more power to you. I just desire more out of a company with which I do business. I learned a long time ago if you don’t advocate for yourself, no one will.

The insane part is that CBCS would take a submission of 2 modern comics. All that packing, unpacking, data inputting, moving from station to station...for what? $36? That can't possibly be enough money to pay for the resources required. And little tiny submissions put a low ceiling on how much product you can produce each week.

CGC is no better - maybe slightly better at communication but they have an order of mine since May with no end in sight - communicate all you want...the actual result is the same..the order is outstanding and remains so

As far as process improvement and doing nothing you may have your facts wrong about CBCS...my latest order from last month I got an email within a week or so of physical delivery saying they received it and it would take another XX weeks to "officially" show as such on my dash - that is a tremendous improvement - and they didn't gas light anyone by having a massive press release to say they open boxes faster like CGC did (thanks guys - open boxes faster for that interest free loan but still take forever on orders!). CBCS has also been on a hiring binge to speed up things where they can. It seems like rather than throw someone off the street into grading though they choose to work on other processes and have trained people in the sensitive areas.

I'm sure the customer service hire has some training to do, but here's to hoping we see improvements soon!! Also, just to point out the obvious, CBCS is listening!!!!

@Whynotv2 I wasn't going to say anything, but the interest free loans talk always reminds me of Progressive Insurance "turning into your parents" commercials. They probably also think that the Waste Management company is getting rich off of your recycling bin.

If sending two books to CBCS is perceived to be problematic,then as I wrote in a previous post. Their surrogates at cons should say it's not worth their time to do two books. I could not be dealing with not having my books, and not knowing when I will get them. "Information is everything"

I mailed in two orders at the end of June, received (via USPS tracking) June 30th (one was pressing which I'm not going to see for a while...and I know that). My order has been updated if I go into the order and click on the invoice to read "labels". When I made that submission, I checked the "turnaround 6.0" thread to see that I should expect 22-25 weeks. Think this week would be 24 weeks since they received (but not when it showed-up on the dash as submitted). I expect, again from reading the forum, that the label process is taking longer than usual and I may see this order in January. In January, I'll start asking questions and trying to track down my submission.
Also...and I'm not trying to spell-check, just making sure I understand. Did you mean bupkis? Not buckus?

May I ask some of you that have been around a while a question, my dash board says grading, my invoice says labels. anyone know how long i may be looking at say if they are in labels, how long is labels and what is the next step??? thanks for any positive input, and so glad CBCS has gotten the dashboards and invoices showing life.

Have I told you about the time I dropped off 3,000 comics at SDCC? Scifinator private msg quote post Address this user
@timberghost - grading is a primary category in the process. It is not at all uncommon to have grading on your dashboard bit when you select invoice, you may see Labels, Encapsulation, heatseal, QC, etc. basically, your comics are graded, just not ready to be shipped yet.

@timberghost like @Scifinator said, there are technically other steps after labels, but I've never seen them on my invoice. Labels usually doesn't take very long, but it isn't usual times right now. I've had an order in labels for a couple months now. I would just keep an eye on the forum for when people say they're getting orders back from around the same time as yours.

My advice is to not use the dashboard for timing for now. I never do.
For "somewhat" more accurate turnaround, I use the following formula:

(Date CBCS received my comics) + (Current stated TAT) + (2 --> 4 week backlog/slush time)

I have found to NOT use the TAT that was established when they received your books.
Use the current stated TAT regardless of when your books were submitted.
I can only say that it has worked for me each and every time. That is my experience.

As a final note, and I feel like a broken record: It seems everyone continues to use the Dashboard, then they get riled up because it's just doesn't seem to be accurate. Either "Labels" is not what we think it is; or "Labels" is seriously off with timing. Either way you'll go nuts.
Try the formula.
It may not work for you, but it has been significantly more accurate for me.

Got a shipped email today. The order was from the end of February, modern/expanded with pressing. It's arriving two months after I got back my end of January order, so in the time that my books were hanging out CBCS got enough fast pass or faster-TAT orders to slow my stuff down an extra month. I got the "you've made it to grading!" email for this order back at the beginning of September.
