@HeinzDad that was my issue with trying to place a bulky order. They wanted to ship UPS 2nd day which made shipping as much as the books.

I was looking at a 1k order lol.

@Paulbg2000 unless I'm missing it, I don't see Gerber products there. Am I missing it?

@HeinzDad I could've put in an order and then waited the 4 months or so to get it, but they are completely out of boards. I decided to wait.

Yeah, I guess time kind of flew by. It wasn't like waiting for books. I made due with sub par materials until then like I always had.

now we’re talking’!

If anyone is interested in the BCW plastic bins; they are still normal price. I looked them up to see if I needed to wait to get more. I like them for the permanent collection. Just glad I bought what I did when I did, even if at a higher price at that time, given the four month wait or paying about double...what a mess

I looked at my last order; they went up a few bucks, but at least not double or triple.

I got lucky and walked into a comic store in Portland a few months ago and they had 2 golden age mylars pack of 50s.

First time in over a year I saw mylars for sale at a comic book store.

I don't use regular bags just mylars.
Expensive but I never have to change them out again. 👍

There was a shop in Portland that was selling the thin mylites.
The ones that have a flap at the top that can be taped down.
Not my thing but if anyone likes using them. I'd do a little ringing around at various stores and not just Portland, any major city to see what they got and if they ship?

There was an LCS I went to in Wixom a few months back. They wanted $50. for a 50 pack of Mylite2. That turned me off and I immediately left. What Bologna.

@xkonk Like @HeinzDad offered, I could front you a 50 pack or 2. I bought 1000 a few months back right from E.Gerber. I think my wait was about 8 weeks. I don't have extra boards to spare though. @xkonk PM me interested.

@BrianGreensnips appreciate it, but I think @HeinzDad has me covered for now, and I would want boards anyway. If anyone wants to go in on a big order sometime around March though, I'll try to remember and organize.

I’m interested if shipping to Alaska isn’t too difficult.

That's cool. Supplies have been tough to get these days. Someone mentioned Matt's Baseball. They have great prices and very quick delivery. Unfortunately I have never seen them offer Mylar though.

I wish that the discount got even better if you bought more than 1000 at a time. Buying 1000 at a time is the only way to go IMO. Here is the break down. Mylite2 725M2 which is the Standard size which is great for Bronze age thru moderns and good on some Silver age books too.
1000 costs $192.00 plus $20. Shipping.
There are 50 per pack. 50 x 20 packs =1000.
So $212 divided by 20 packs = $10.50 PER PACK. You just can't beat that price.

limiting the discounts at 1000 is most likely to keep orders to a manageable quantity with shipping. Freight on a pallet would outweigh the discount anyway😂

For example, you can get 1,000 bags and 1,000 boards for $155 Canadian ($121.50 US) from their regular price of $239 Canadian ($187 US)

shoutout to @HeinzDad for sending some mylar my way. Better wrapped than some comics I've received! Much appreciated, and I made a note to myself to coordinate a big forum order around March when Gerber hopefully has boards again.
