You were too cool if you had one of these in 1975'
I lived on a street that was on a hill, so I could fly going downhill.
The trip back up was a bit slower lol...

I lived at the bottom of a hill when I was growing up and it was Big Wheels up and down that hill All Day Long!

Yeah that thing was a cool scoot. I had graduated to bicycles, mini-bikes & motorcycles by the late 70's.

I'm a teetotaler, but that is still gorgeous. Beautiful shade of blue.

Agreed. I love that electric blue color. Though the bottle itself could have been a tad more intricately designed.

True, but the gold accents are very nice, and the design does have a futuristic tone to it. It's a pretty bottle but, IMHO, the cap could be a bit too minimalistic. Plain & black may be 'stylish' but it does look like it could have come from the liquor aisle in the supermarket.

You can't get good wood on the ball every time. HotKeyComics private msg quote post Address this user
I just added the American to my main cover set, Strange Tales 109! It is not an easy one to build and the La Prensa on the top right is hard enough to find but that bottom Australian Yaffa is the only one I've ever seen along with some other foreign collectors, plus it has Strange Tales 110 & 111 in it as well!
I really like the different background colors used and how they look against that amazing Kirby art, I wonder how many different colors I will find?
If anyone has any foreign covers of this available please message me 🙂

Any cover with Kirby monsters on it is awesome and this one has FOUR. Such a great Strange Tales cover and I've never seen that Aussie one before. I think I spotted a UKPV copy recently on eBay. I didn't investigate any further because it was too pricey for me.

I built this armour rack out of old 4x4 fence posts I replaced after they rotted out at the bottom. It was a fun project 😃.

I have found woodworking to be a useful hobby. In addition to the armour rack above I've also designed and made a bunch of custom wall mounts for my swords n such. Hope y'all enjoy!

I was watching a 1952 episode of Adventures of Superman this morning.

I the background of one of the scenes, I saw a newsstand. Something caught my eye, Batman comic books.

I was able to make out Batman #66 but couldn't make out any of the others.

I was thinking how great it would have been to be a kid collecting those comic books back then and what they would be worth today

I'm pretty sure those are "Mutt and Jeff" comics in the middle.

Tyvm! Yeah, I used a hand router to etch the runes in so they are recessed, then painted the recessed portion before sealing the wood with a satin finish. The wood I used is just cedar deck planks and 2x4's.

So, I got this in a trade with a friend who did work for James Worthy. I traded some slabbed books for it.I traded some books that I did not really want to part with, but that made it feel fair.

I love the Showtime Lakers. I am very happy to have this in my collection.
