You ain't wrong.
In 1980 I had one of these.

And after a little bartering, and a fresh paint job, I turned it into one of these.

I had the coolest bike in the hood....

@Nearmint67 Really like the upgrade with the yellow mags and I’ve always been a fan of the V handlebars. My first “cool” bike was a Schwinn Predator it was chrome with black Skyway mags those were great times.

Some may think this should go under ridiculous sales, but this is the current king of foreign editions. Jose Duran didn't like it when Marvel killed Gwen, so he decided to keep her alive and wrote several non canon Spidey stories, including this most sought after issue of them all, the Peter and Gwen wedding issue.

At one point, there were some passionate German comic book collectors that went through the trouble of translating the whole book (except the cover) into German. They then printed and sold some. I think it was between $20 and $30 USD plus shipping for a copy. I ended up getting one. I think they had plans to do more issues, but I'm not sure what became of that.

and thats for a low grade water damaged copy. I've heard rumors of mid 5 figure offers being turned down for a higher grade copy that shows up at cons from time to time.

Yes. I kinda wanted one, but I wasn't the correct gender to get one when they came out. Now I'm pissed because apparently the original Stretch Armstrongs from the 70s are worth some might fine coin nowadays.

I, like a lot of boys, pulled that thing until it broke. Wasn't easy, but the skin finally split open and the inside material was thick red material. Poor stretch never was the same. When air hit that stuff it dried up and didn't stretch anymore... lol..

In 78'/79' I sported the blazing orange model in the center.
I literally flew, when the wheel stopped while flying down hill on a fresh asphalt road.
I had to of went 8' to 10' before sliding another 2' to 3' on my knee and palms.
It was a site to see. Knee caps are a very bright white color, after rinsing the blood off.
Anyway, all I was missing was a cape... lol....

@KatKomics Amazing how fast those little wheels would spin. Dangerous.
No such thing as helmets, knee pads and gloves for skate boarding back in the day....

I had a yo-yo, but unlike my sister I couldn't make it do tricks. I lost interest after a while, but it was fun to watch my sis play with hers.

I had a skateboard for a short while until I took a spill and broke a finger. After I came home from the doctor, I found that my skateboard had disappeared. Fancy that.

I got over the finger. I was ticked that Mom tossed my skateboard, though!

I might have the wheels still - I remember taking them off to make my own board but then my dad used them for something - might be in a box in storage? - "this year" (first time I've said it really!!!!) I'll get to going through stuff?
