For small time roulette why not Amazing Spiderman Annual #22 1st appearance of a new Ditko character - Speedball - amazingly cheap for high quality raw books - even graded 9.4's are like $80 CAD - who knows could press higher? Went on as part of the New Warriors later as an S&M reject he was part of Thunderbolts and apparently now back to Speedball (and potentially both New Warriors and Thunderbolts could get the Disney treatment??) ![]() |

I know most here are more familiar with Marvel, but any thoughts on Swamp Thing 2 (First Anton Arcane) and Swamp Thing 3 (first Abigail Arcane) as spec books?![]() |

@EbayMafia swampy spec is tough..the TV show was great but too expensive - if they ever get another one off the ground then the Acanes will see some life again

How about Fantastic Four #164, first appearance of Frankie Rae and Crusader. Any thoughts on that as a speculation book?

I could see Frankie Rae showing up in one of the cosmic movies, I suppose. Maybe it's because I was reading a comic with him last night, but I was thinking I should get a first appearance of Robbie Reyes (the current Ghost Rider). He was already in the Agents of Shield TV show, but I could see him sticking around for a while. They don't seem to retire any Ghost Rider forever. |

Miracleman # 1 is a good low risk spec Moving to DC books related to the TV shows - all these shows are going into what 3rd or 4th seasons now. I figure that lays groundwork for either bigger projects or....at least growing continued interest in these characters as they have now been revealed to a new (younger?) audience Hawk & Dove #1 (1st Female Dove) you'll need to overlook it's a Liefeld book Infinity Inc #19,20,21 - 1st new HourMan and Dr Midnight (1st of the person then the character Beth in 19 - then Dr in 20, Rick in 20 then Hourman in 21) All Star Squadron 23 -1st Amazing Man (not used yet but who knows??), 25 - 1st Infinity Inc (multiple characters) |

I don't know if the Earth X story line has any place in the MCU though. |

For no particular reason, I've bought a couple Ghost Rider 1's now (Ketch and Reyes), and am looking at Darkhawk 1s. Decent-looking raws for any of those are in the $25-50 range on eBay.
