I think those die-cast Batmobiles are to tie in with the 60s TV series, and the first release came out in 1966. There were later releases, too, but I don't know much beyond that, other than that they kept going all the way into the early 80s. Super-popular toy, obviously!

Big fan of Invicta watches for Marvel and DC. Wife got me a couple over the past few years for birthday presents.
