Does anyone know if there is a comprehensive list of the Mark Jewelers variants? I just picked up a Blitzkrieg 1 and now it sorta has me hooked.

MCS does pretty well with their MJI list, though I've noticed they're missing a few, too. ComicsPriceGuide also has a list, but MCS is more comprehensive, I think.

I do believe these lists include books that are believed to have a MJ variant but are unconfirmed just as these lists exclude some known books.

The MCS list is most likely compiled from actually having or consigning at some point. So if it’s on MCS it should exist.

I use CPG quite a bit and while it is good, it also relies on tons of user inputs. There may another source. I'll look and post if I find it.

Edit: Source I found linked to the source in Steve's post.

Two of the Blitzkrieg, or two of the MJs?

According to MCS, Blitzkrieg has most of the series in MJs.

@ OGJackster DUDE! Swamp Thing with MJI! Those are excellent. I have a few books with MJI (a few Marvel Premiere/Marvel Spotlight, maybe 10 Spectacular Spider-Man, 3 or 4 Web of Spider-Man, Tomb of Dracula #44 & #55, and Werewolf By Night #40.

I collect Amazing Spider-Man and have a full set of Mark Jewelers and National Diamond Inserts spanning from issue #96 thru #349. All over-sized issues and some occasional regular sized issues didn't have the insert. In total, there are 238 Amazing Spider-Man insert issues.

The lists on MCS are good, but several years back they added all issues (included ones they didn't have inserts), so it isn't foolproof that every issue listed exists. A good rule of thumb is that if there is a picture associated to a listing, then it most likely exists.

I keep forgetting to mention, CovrPrice will track books with MJI if you add yours to their website. They don't have very many yet, but I have been able to add the ones I have in my collection.

To echo @manfred_spain above, one would expect this to be true, but MCS lists books as MJI’s that have never been shown to exist. I was cued into this specifically by the Justice League of America (v.1) title listings on the MCS site. I believe it’s with #139 onward that a run of JLA’s shown don’t exist as MJI’s.

Well, after looking at a detailed search on Ebay, there are, like way too many for me to be that interested in. I did come upon some interesting books, but for the most part they are titles I have no interest in having, even as variants.

Just picked up some lower grade House of Mystery and Secrets. There is one part of the the Spectre run in Adventure comics that is over graded and over priced.

Thank you all for the info just the same!
