| So I had put in an order for a 1 per store variant 2 months ago and I went to pick it up today and was told it will be $45 not the $3.99 listed on the book. I was also told at the time of order it will not be extra for this variant. Is it normal for a store to sell a book like that or did the owner realize they are going for $50 on ebay and try to pull a fast one? I did not buy it btw. | ||

| Depends on the store, mine will only charge me cover price but a lot will charge more for ratio variants since they have to order a certain amount of books to get one and may not sell all of the books they order. | ||

| This was an incentive just for ordering the book. No extra cost or amount of books needed to order and they actually had two of them even tho it was a one per store | ||

| @the420bandito most were 2nd 3rd 4th print etc, think they went up to 8th print with #1. And the new bundle adds more since it's 1-5 but they're nice covers...I'll admit I pre-ordered a bundle for myself lol | ||

| I would consider it a jerk move, especially if they told you that it wouldn't be marked up. My LCS does mark them up, but they're priced like from the get-go. | ||

| I've never been to a store selling special variants at cover. I have heard of a lottery system for hold box customers to get it at cover. And don't get me started at stores who reprice at the till. | ||

| @Gustafson26 You know i wonder about that for awhile and never got a straight answer.I never knew what to ask since i would normally go the day after release.But two of my LCS had the prices jack up today at 1ST store for house of slaughter #1K was $40,1F was $40 and 1E was $11. 2ND store had 1K at $59,1E at $19and last week for hulk #50F at store #3 was $100. Would have brought it at store #1 if i knew he had it for $90. And this after I told all three stores i wanted all variants before they were out.I didn't know it was so many hulk #50 out until i got home and added them to my CLZ list. btw anyone know a better way to find all new release variants? i always miss some when i get them.This is my last time trying to get them all anyway | ||

| @Reelgee MCS gets most variants and usually they are in the preorder/preview pages with the exception of the high ratios and of course retailer exclusives. I accidentally got all but 50N 1:25 Bryan Hitch & 50F 1:100 “Kirby” Immortal Hulk 50 variants because I had “all cover options available” selected instead of “let me choose”. I assume they didn’t order enough to get those 2 or were not offering them online. I spent a hell of a lot more on that subscription shipment, but it should be a happy accident. A few are already demanding a bit more than cover. |

| @HulkSmash see that why i try to get all the variants because i will always pick the ones that don't increase.I like MCS but never brought new release from them, so i never look at their preorder/preview pages. thanks for that!I was trying Midtown for a time but two out three orders i had got damage when i order enough for free shipping, but never had a damage order when i paid for shipping. | ||
