What's the feedback on Venom/Carnage movie?15885

@Gustafson26 there's nothing that bad in it really, perhaps a couple intense/surprising/potentially scary parts for a kid that young, and a couple language instances, but nothing really gory etc.

Personally I liked it. Being a huge venom and carnage fan, I'd like seeing anything symbiote related coming out pretty much, but I understand the comedy aspect involved because they're trying to draw in a different crowd and tie it into the MCUs general feel, which is also why it is pg13.

A tiny bit upset I sold off my venom vs carnage sets seeing the mid credit scene, but I made a healthy profit on all of them so oh well. A tiny bit upset also with how they handled carnage, but then again he has come back like 3 times so far in the comics and what happened to the symbiote HAS happened in the comics(ending of absolute carnage, it's what awoke knull).

With bringing in more symbiote storyline, maybe they could be leading up to a symbiote God awakening. That would make for a great MCU universe-level threat.

Meh. Honestly wish I would have waited to buy the dvd. Not that good. Lots of eye candy but not much meat on the bone

And to answer the wise ones a dvd was something for viewing movies before streaming

@Gustafson26 people's mileage varies, but I wouldn't take my 6 year old. It struck me as an R movie that they just toned down by making it bloodless.

It's alright. Nothing to write home about.

I found the common theme was "frustration" (every character is frustrated with another character)

the story was too quick-paced, non of the plots and/or sub-plots had time to breathe, and the whole movie was edited like a long trailer.

And the movie was "dark", as in poorly lit. It was hard to tell what was going on half the time, and the director of photography was terrible. It reminded me of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight movies (poorly lit, extreme closeups, and too quick action) you couldn't tell what was going on.

And of course... people lost their sh!t with the mid-credit scene.

Even though "The Suicide Squad" was just a rehash of "Suicide Squad", I enjoyed it more than "Let There Be Venom"

Perhaps in literal ownership, but otherwise your hopes are dashed.

I was writing about Venom staying in the Sony Spider-Man Universe. I hope the character never gets sucked totally into the MCU. I want a Spider-Woman movie and then a Venom/Spider-Woman movie in the Sony Universe.

Does Sony have rights to Venom? It was distributed by Sony, but is a Paramount film.

Sony owns everything Spider-Man related..including Venom and his entire rogues gallery.... King Pin is shared between Marvel and Sony because King Pin is equally a Daredevil and Spidey rogue.

I am aware of what you are writing about. I just hope it is a multi-verse thing and not a MCU thing. I want Spider-Woman outside of the MCU. I want her to stand alone and I hope Oliva Wilde can produce a movie on the same level as the first Wonder Woman. A Spider-Woman and Silk movie would be something too.

Just got out and he loved it. Not bad at all for him unless your against bad language. As stated before it felt rushed but was a good movie. The credit scene was great

I forgot they also had the preview for Morbius before the movie. Looks like it might be a decent movie
