I'm going tomorrow and looking forward to it. I'm going to try to sneak a pizza in, so that should be interesting.

I liked it not the best movie but not the worst. Well worth watching.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was just "okay". But the special effects were great.

It's a "buddy" cop film now. Venom no longer scary.

It was decent; the wife and I were entertained.

Only complaint was that it was short; runtime is 97min. At times, it felt a bit rushed because of it.

I agree with the majority, it was entertaining but not a great movie, just okay. A few funny parts. Woody plays a psychopath naturally. Make sure you stay for the post credit scene. I was surprised to see how much Tom hardy is invested in the movie, he helped to write and produce, a few other things (I think) as well

I had planned on watching it opening night. Instead I helped my sister move into an apartment. Still haven’t seen it. I already sold my ASM300 and 1 of my best ASM361’s at peak so I’m on the remainder of my ASM361’s for the long haul.

don't want to mess it for those that didn't see it, Waite for the end credits to roll, big reveal on where Venom ends up.

My dad's review (not a comic guy but watches a lot of movies) was that it was fine; a good popcorn movie. I might see it this afternoon.

Saw it with my kid on the weekend.
Was a decent movie - I think better than the 1st....although if you want to get technical it didn't really do much in the character or Venom verse development.
The mid-credit scene did however hint massively at future expansion of the Venom verse.

100% there will be a 3rd movie and inclusion of the character in a few others - only upside to Venom and friends!!

I know its PG-13 but is it crazy to bring my 6 year old son? Is it that inappropriate for him? He has not stopped talking about it since the trailer release and would lose his mind if we go after school tomorrow.

I was actually surprised how many young children there were in my showing. There's some F bombs and general violence should that matter to you.

It was decent and as campy as the first 1. Don’t go in expecting a comic book story Spider-Man is out of the picture just like Venom 1, so some creativity has been used. I suspect the next one (if there is a next one) will bring back Carnage with or without Cletus.

Yep 1145 showing. I haven't been in a theater in almost two years and enjoyed the experience, especially the recliner seats. I thought the movie was mediocre and preferred the first Venom.

Perhaps in literal ownership, but otherwise your hopes are dashed.

I did go to see it, and dad was more or less right. The movie is weird, like the first one, but sometimes the weirdness doesn't work. There's also some stuff that just doesn't make sense. It *does* make sense that Andy Serkis directed it, given his acting.

@Gustafson26 there's nothing that bad in it really, perhaps a couple intense/surprising/potentially scary parts for a kid that young, and a couple language instances, but nothing really gory etc.

Personally I liked it. Being a huge venom and carnage fan, I'd like seeing anything symbiote related coming out pretty much, but I understand the comedy aspect involved because they're trying to draw in a different crowd and tie it into the MCUs general feel, which is also why it is pg13.

A tiny bit upset I sold off my venom vs carnage sets seeing the mid credit scene, but I made a healthy profit on all of them so oh well. A tiny bit upset also with how they handled carnage, but then again he has come back like 3 times so far in the comics and what happened to the symbiote HAS happened in the comics(ending of absolute carnage, it's what awoke knull).

With bringing in more symbiote storyline, maybe they could be leading up to a symbiote God awakening. That would make for a great MCU universe-level threat.

Meh. Honestly wish I would have waited to buy the dvd. Not that good. Lots of eye candy but not much meat on the bone

And to answer the wise ones a dvd was something for viewing movies before streaming

@Gustafson26 people's mileage varies, but I wouldn't take my 6 year old. It struck me as an R movie that they just toned down by making it bloodless.
