I sent 14 books in, fast pass and fast press. Return shipping charged was $70 USD for ground. FedEx brokerage will be $25 CAD when they come back.

Is FedEx brokerage fee always $25 CAD only? Doesn't matter on the number of books sented back?

I've never had it be more or less. Regardless of it being 5 or 10 books. All you are really paying for is the customs clearance paperwork. With GST it comes to $26.78. I'm looking at a FedEx invoice right now.

I was planning on submitting direct to Dallas because I wanted to use the grade screening which isn't available on the Canadian form. |

I only live about 25 or 30 minutes away and I figure by next year things will still not be back to 'normal' but at least closer to it so in person pickup should be able to be arranged? I think once the books are in Oakville then we have to make an appointment to go get them - FYI - I see problems with this process seeing as it's next to impossible to actually get responses from anyone at CBCS Canada Will be choosing the pickup option on my next order too (thinking of putting one together) - although those probably won't be ready until 2023!!! - things have to be better by then no?? |

@Silverado They have a max 30 for a submission, I assume they can do 30 in a box? I will find out someday when they ship from ontario. They also over charged me $30 CDN and cant explain it or fix it, but someone mentioned that its because they dont have an actual CDN money account, so when they charge your CDN submission its converted. Sounded like BS to me, but no one from CBCS has explained and confirmed this to me yet. I did submit through dallas last week and used the prescreening, so hope that all works out welll.

Has anyone got any recent submission around July to September 2021? Can you give use an idea of TAT or how long it takes to be received in Dallas, shipping from Oakville. Any 2-day modern TAT in the recent 3 months.

Question all, I just sent some book straight to Dallas and tracking show that it is received today at Dock. How long will it take to show on my dashboard that it has been received?

I've heard that two day moderns are taking approximately a week to grade and get out. I've heard where people got the books back before the dashboard got updated. CBCS did just hire some more personnel. Hopefully they will have someone working to update the dashboard more quickly, but I wouldn't count on it. Also, Monday is a federal holiday here. I believe CBCS will be officially closed that day. So, your TAT wouldn't technically start until Tuesday the 12th. Which means that your books won't ship out to you next week, but probably the week after. I wish I had better and more concrete answers for you, but this is what I've heard here and on Facebook. |

I just wanna update for those who are wondering TAT with 2-day modern. So I decided to send 15 books straight to Dallas for 2-day modern on October 4 using Netparcel 3 day shipping. The shipment arrive on October 8, which was a Friday. CBCS updated as received on the Monday 11. After grading and shipping it all back, I received the book at home on October 17. As a side note, I also shipped 25 books to CBCS Oakville on September 29 and still no update on books being received in Dallas. Anyone know how long for stats to change as received in Dallas, when shipping to CBCS Oakville?

@Vboi The canadian hub seems to be something i will be avoiding in the future. I have 30 books that went to shipping to canda on September 22, that means its on a truck that may or may not have left for oakville. Or so i have to presume as i get no answers to what it all means. It took 2 months i believe for my books to be scheduled for grading coming from the oakville location. As far as i can tell, it adds around 2 months on both ends.

@Vboi I sent mine on June 17 , was delivered on the 19th and then recieved in dallas on Sept 3 , swithced to scheduled for grading on Sept 4 , sept 17 switched to encapsulating then switched to ship to canada on Sept 22 , have not recieved the books. AS far as i can tell, and from talking to others who have done it through the Canadian hub, it doesnt get updated in your account, you have call , email and ask them to do it.

@Vboi ya, it kinda looks like it adds another 4 months to the whole thing, roughly anyways. I did send some about a month ago, but straight to Dallas. I know there is more of a risk that customs will mess with it and charge you, but maybe the extra $100 for customs is worth the extra 4 month wait.I guess I will find out.

Ever since the covid though it's gone sideways - I will continue using for PC books vs books for sale as I'm hopeful as the border opens more and travel requirements loosen it get back to what it was before. |

Also for all of those who are wondering about duties, there are no duties charges. CBCS ship them back with FedEx as a REPAIR SERVICES, there are no duties but just FedEx brokerage fee. The fee for me was about $20.

I too used to be able to get FedEx to waive those brokerage fees until the last time. They refused to. Now I'm using Canpar...we'll see if I get hit with brokerage fees.

I had forgot to update on here. Mine went to shipping to Canada on Sept 22, they just showed up on Nov 17, no update no tracking, and none of the books uploaded in to the system. So i had to reach out to Steve Borock on facebook, and he got them uploaded in a few days, about a week in total after i recieved them. And then i got the email a week later saying they were being shipped. So it must be auto generated when they put the books in the system.

The only thing i have seen is that they are trying to hire for customer service and have not been able to fill it in over a year. I would have to assume they hired more people for grading, receiving, shipping. They seem to be falling behind more and more, so who knows what is going on. But hopefully you are close, mine was around 2 months exactly, and then bam, the Fedex driver shows up and all is good again, lol
