That is who I thought it was too, but Portacio’s signature looks different. Right era though.

@EddieTheComicGuy @jake

Tony Daniel, Paul Smith, and Others - Convention Commission Sketch Original Art Group of 4 (1994-98). Four great pieces in this one group lot! First we have Angela from Spawn, by Tony Daniel. The graphite and marker sketch is signed and on white paper. Next there is a great looking close-up of Chance Falconer from Image's Leave It To Chance. It is by Paul Smith, produced in blue pencil on paper, signed, and dated 1998.
Then we have a naughty Black Canary from 1994 by an unknown artist. Her eyes are amazing in this graphite image! Lastly, the X-Men's Psylocke from 1997 is featured by an unknown artist on this graphite and ink wash piece.

Looks like I have more stuff stashed away somewhere!!

Even Heritage has the Psylocke as "unknown"!!

Few recent pieces I picked up. Will have to get pics of a few others. Elias Chatzoudis did the Batgirl and Mirka Andolfo did the 3/4 Ivy.

Nice! I had Estiban do an Evil Dead cover for me. Love his work and plan on having him do a couple more for me.

I got a new painting in this week all the way from Singapore by the talented Justine Frany for her DIE!NAMITE #1 variant cover. I was originally just going to buy the comic, but decided to opt for the original art instead. Such a sick cover!

Yes, just arrived yesterday. I'll try to remember this if I ever decide to let it go.

I hope it wasn't expensive. I have a 30 second batman sketch that looks more substantial

I think is was $200 (including the CGC plastic film cover and yellow label)
So about on par for a head sketch from someone of his "caliber"
If he was at a convention I would expect $150ish for a head sketch
Mind you...I wouldn't get a sketch from him at a convention lol!
This order was placed in May of 2021 - no conventions for a few years has me itching for sketches!

I mean...it's representative of his work..so there's that

This one was I think in that $150 range (need to go to my personal computer files to verify)

Again though...different level of talent

Nice stuff you have. Wide variety. My tastes are so limited in comparison, almost all my art is batman.

@KatKomics I like the Hobgoblin sketch but if you showed it to me without telling me what character it is I might not know. That Romits SR is awesome as is the Green Arrow.
I have an Adams Man-Thing sketch from around 5-7 years ago he charged me $300 for. Pricey but I like it.

@Bronte when the old guys were still around I would try to either get a sketch of a character they created or a character they were identified with...failing that then a 1940's space girl with fishbowl helmet!!
