so I just got another update saying my books just left pressing ( 7 months???)and it was gonna be a while Steve Ricketts told me months ago they had left pressing??? I called cbcs yesterday and the guy said I would have them back in November. I'm completely lost at this point. 5 of the books ( 1 order ) were just press pass as they came from IGC whose books are always 9.8 but press passed them just incase something happened in shipping as seems to always be the answer from cgc. I have never got an email or any update except from steve ricketts via forum and Jess_o who messaged me that they had left press and have gone to grading. well and the phone call. nice guy. I don't look to see my books until late 2023 at this point. I'm at a complete loss.

@timberghost I just sent you another message. Ricketts would be the one to know when they left pressing. Everyone said they are done with pressing. If the guy today was in Dallas and estimated November, go with that.

During this extraordinary backup time, while dashboard and email updates are also backed up, when/if we do get them, it may just as likely be a notification of occurrence that happened days, weeks, or months ago. As such, yours is a case in point you just got notified on work that the Press department completed months ago. |

I dropped off several books in various tiers in August. (No pressing, no fast pass) It's still sitting in submitted status. I don't expect to see them until end of year. My concern is, I was advised at the show to not include payment with my submission. The representative said checks tend to get mixed up and he would prefer not to keep track of them. I went online and added a CC# to use for payment. I don't want the lack of payment to cause a delay so I've emailed a few times about updating my info and have gotten no response. Is there a better way to communicate or is it simply the backlog causing the delay? |

Just got notice today that I'll be receiving my books back on Wednesday, the 27th. 12 books, modern submission, no pressing, 3 of the 12 books needed signature verification. Wednesday makes it 2 days short of 27 weeks from the time it was delivered to them, to me receiving the books back. Hope this helps some of you figure your times out. |

I picked up books yesterday 10/25 was told basic submission ( no membership, no fast pass, no ASP/VSP, No pressing, no imagine, no 1-2day, modern universal graded book ) 23 weeks add time for multiple books or signatures ect... Im not too sure about slab only and ASP books and book from mail in signings... I have 1 slab only thats been there 2-3 weeks. Mail in signing kinda up to the artist time schedule The books i got back yesterday were submitted in early may.3 needed VSP. I have a book that was submitted by a store that has a sketch / ASP but he told me order isnt ready that was from march but the order obviously was large order. |

My order has been in labels for months now and here is a brief breakdown of their journey. Timeline: books delivered/invoiced into CBCS system April 20th, modern with VSP no pressing and no fast pass. Was emailed by customer service Sept 14th that my order would ship shortly, but no official email or tracking number provided. Order is still in labels as of this post. Hope this helps others figure out their own timeline. |

Fill out a submission with reholder for these books. Write a love letter on said submission form. Mail them back in and they won’t bill you. Or, wait on a friendly voice or hug from someone at CBCS.

My books that were delivered August 23rd just got marked as received and I have been charged. (no press) Sucks because I wanted to add the fast passes from the membership on to the order. I've called and emailed numerous times since they were delivered on the 23rd. Managed to finally get a hold of someone on the phone about a month ago and they assured me the fast pass would be added. Doesn't look like they added it because the invoice was never updated. Just called again and they told me there was nothing that could be done now since they were in processing. Oh well. Guess I'll just forget about them and have these books surprise me at my doorstep in 3 months. |

OK Thanks. I was kind of hoping someone from CBCS actually monitors these threads and would alert someone to get back to me. It can't be good for their reputation as a professional business

@Kryptoscomics I’ve had that happen before. CBCS will fix it but I would recommend waiting until things slow down a little. As things are, you’ll be in for a wait to get them fixed. Not nearly as long as it took to grade them but not an insignificant wait either. Save your emails so you can show that you did try to get in contact when the books were delivered. Once things slow down you can try to re-initiate contact and they can get the books fixed in a week or two instead of a month or two. |

I could maybe understand it for a cover that has no issue number on it, but sheesh, the numbers are clearly visible on these books. If they can mess up something thing this simple it really makes you wonder how safe your books are while being processed at these grading companies. Pretty scary -- guess it fits the season. |

@dameki there's no "out of pressing" status. If you just send books for grading, they sit in "received" until they're actually in the grading room. The same thing happens if they get pressed first. I suppose that creating a "out of pressing" status might be helpful but I'm not sure there's a reason to encourage people to compulsively check their status even more. If they're going to add a status, though, I would personally vote for the second note here: |

I'm not saying to add a status but the turn around time for my submission once it got done with pressing and into grading was 16 weeks. Pretty sure the last time I submitted books for pressing and grading my dashboard updated to reflect that and it gives me a piece of mind of where my items are in the process. Here we are 16 weeks no new update. |
