Considering my submission is there 22 weeks and still processing, I would guess that they need to recalculate again

@Scifinator I like your knew moniker. But I'm thinking that if I could have chosen your moniker I would have gone with something you said a few months ago. Something like "I might be the reason your TAT's are so long".

Have I told you about the time I dropped off 3,000 comics at SDCC? Scifinator private msg quote post Address this user
@EbayMafia @Supertom - LOL i admit that in July of 2019, I tsunami’d CBCS. And even with the move of pressing from FL to TX at the same time as being shut down due to the Pandemic, they recovered and were a well oil machine in the 4th qtr of 2020.

Now the speculation crush occurred plus cgc raises prices. I only jumped on the wave that was already in process and spread out 1,100 comics from May - Sept in a couple dozen submissions. I would have held off, but when the president of the company say he won’t raise prices during a pandemic, i start to read between the lines.

I suspect the pinnacle has been reach and TAT’s start dropping regularly by year end like they started doing in 2019.

Got a shipped email! It was a mixed modern/expanded/consumer order with pressing, no fast passes. Here's the timeline from the emails I kept:

Received Feb 3 (should have actually been received a bit before that, like last week of January I think).

Entered grading July 23. From checking my invoice, I know it said 'labels' pretty quickly afterward.

Finished grading and into production October 7.

Shipped today, October 14.

MY very first order to CBCS I sent in the beginning of April but they didn't receive until May 2nd has been stuck in the "processing status" for the last 4 months and 2 of those months all I can get out of CBCS is they are waiting for labels, when I contacted customer service they gave me a email address to email my concerns, and their response (a week later) was the same "waiting for labels"....Where are they getting the labels from? guessing they are on one of the cargo ships stuck in international waters right now.
When I First submitted my books it stated 10 weeks which right after 10 weeks it changed to 17 weeks and now we have gone way past the 17weeks it just updated to 22 weeks....very frustrating, especially when you go on YouTube and see the same guy every week bragging about how he gets his books back in less then 2 weeks(whole time in the back of my head I'm picturing my books on the floor getting passed up so his can get graded....lol)

Don't be silly, they're not just thrown on the floor! They're being used to prop the vault door open so they can carry out all the long boxes full of 2-Days and Fast Pass submissions.

25 weeks and counting....

Order of 24 books in Expanded sent mid
April, received May 5 in dashboard. Been stuck at "grading" since mid August. Haven't bothered reaching out to customer service, as it seems pointless based on everyone else's experiences here. I'd rather save some time and just punch myself in the crotch

CBCS won't be getting anymore of my business until TATs and customer service are improved

So far I think I have a bunch of doubles to send so 1 for PC and lower grade or direct version to MCS - hate the 2x shipping though (back to me and then to MCS)
Also have a few that will go straight to MCS - doubles and all - maybe throw the fast everything on those in an attempt to have them ready for live action Thrawn and Marios Bros movie? and a few others to MCS with no fast since there is no hype on them - just decent books

Either way...I need to figure out what to send and soon to get in line!!

Actually since those timings don't include the months it takes to log the orders in or ship them back it's easily a year.

@Silversorrow if you mail in your books, the tat starts the next business day after they physically arrive at CBCS. If you submit at a con, tat starts the Wednesday after the con. It may take months to show up on your dashboard, but the tat doesn't reflect that.

Ok, but from the other Canadians on the forum it seems orders are in shiptocanada status for 2 month's or more after they finish grading so for Canadians at least easily a year overall.

Yes. For Canadians, it is easily a year for press and grade if they go through the CBCS Canadian office. If they ship directly to Dallas, these TATs should be fairly accurate.

Oh, this has been said before, but it's always good to remind people. The invoice date on your dashboard is the date the invoice was created, NOT your TAT start date. The invoice date does not get updated at any point. If you mail your books in, this is where keeping track of when CBCS got them is important. If you submitted at a con and created the invoice there, the date will be close enough to not really worry about it, imo.

Not sure how this makes any difference, since the advertised TATs are just painfully inaccurate. They were listed as I think 14 weeks for Expanded when I sent my order in April. Here we are, 25 weeks later and my book are still listed as "Grading"
