| I kinda see your point, but Cops have to check every threat real or not given the state of the world. Tbere is no way of knowing who is a real threat and what is not. For example, a buddy of mine has cameras all over the outside of his house. This group of kids breaks into his truck. He runs outside with a real gun and threatens to shoot them. The one kid goes for a gun in his waistband. My friend tells him to stop and is he willing to die. The kids says it's just a bb gun. Don't shoot. My friend is telling him he could have died for being stupid. Who brings a fake gun to a crime? If there was loud music or noise happening and he didn't hear the gun was fake then what? I have done some pretty stupid things in my life, but to threaten others is something i would never do. Even in jest. I would gladly end my life to save another. Edit I need to correct myself. As a young adult I did threaten a little boy. I kinda regret it. Kinda. I saw a little girl on the side of the road crying. I stopped my truck and asked what was wrong. She told me a boy had taken a rock and pelted her with it. On her back was a HUGE red mark from tbe rock. I offered to take her home, she refused. I found the boy and said that if he ever hurt the girl again he would be in a world of pain. (I was indiscript in my threat) as an adult NOW I would just call tbe cops. As a stupid young adult threatening a kid was dumb but I'm pretty sure he never hurt that girl again. |

| @drchaos You sir, are a far better person than myself. My first instinct is to throw the book at him. He deserves what he gets, if not more. However, after thinking about it, it is a far more complex situation. Although I feel He "should" be made an example of, to deter future idiots, if the conviction sticks, his life is essentially ruined forever. And as I pointed out in my own story, everyone makes mistakes. Anyways, thank you for giving some thoughtfulness to the conversation. |

| @EbayMafia Well I think my buddy fired a shot into their car and when his buddies abandoned him, my buddy beat the guys face with his gun. If I was that guy. I would be telling all my friends to avoid going near my buddies house in tbe future. He showed me a few pieces of his gun collection. He is basically armed for the apocalypse. He did recently get a gun that shoots plastic / rubber bullets so he can legally shoot people who screw eith him now..... yeah. My buddy is crazy. Nicest person but you cross him and there will be he'll to pay. |
