New To Your Collection #1215379

@xvipah nice pickup on the ace comics.

I bought my first one a few days ago and just read it.
Has to be one of the most politically incorrect comic books I've ever read in my life. Just crazy, so much I'll be keeping a eye out for any cheap copies I find.

Got these today. Ordered them from Joseph Schmalke's Etsy shop. All glow in the dark covers.

This one is slightly smaller size than a comic. Kind of like a mini graphic novel.

@southerncross Yea, they're amazing books. I think I have in the area of 15 or so now. Further back down the line are the first appearances (in comic books) of Blondie and Prince Valiant. I'm guessing those won't be that cheap. But the rest are usually fairly reasonable in a low to mid grade.

Mail call from MCS. I need 18 more issues to complete this run. So giddy for it.

Picked up a copy of West Coast Avengers #45. A key issue and a book I was looking to get(not a grail, but a want) The book has some love to it, not bad overall. I just have a question, the back cover, upper left corner has that pink mark, is that part of the book(ad color) or something else? This will be sent in for grading, so I am trying to guestimate a grade and that has me thrown.

Looks like potential transfer from another book or something similar, don't believe thats part of the ad color at all.

@kidhuman whatever that is it won't really make a difference to the grade - the grade limiting factor will be the spine ticks
Post 608 IP   flag post
If I could, I would. I swear. DrWatson private msg quote post Address this user
Color rub/transfer negated by the condition of the spine.

@southerncross Why would you call them dreck?

@OGJackster just joking.

But if they enter my Drek collection then I'll never sell them as they are Drek 😜

The Defenders 1 isn't Drek

Yes it's only a raw 7 but hey check out the top right hand of the cover.
No crumpled cover during printing.

If anyone has a copy, check out if yours has the printing defect.

It doesn't get knocked during grading but I have found it uncommon to find copies without the defect 👍

@southerncross sweet dreck! Don't know how much longer Dakota North #1 will be considered dreck. Even Doug Sulipa was hopping on that train per my last email with him.

Today's submissions from NYCC that are now with CBCS.
All signatures are witnessed. (Thank you guys at CBCS booth who assisted me)

Love the Hayden Christiansen blue auto on the JTC negative.
The choice of colors for The Boys were somewhat consistent with the characters costumes (Antony Star, Karen Fukuhara, Chace Crawford, Erin Moriarity and Jack Quaid.

I'll be seeing these again in ..... ohhhh.... about 19 weeks

I was trying to figure out what was going on in the Love Romances last night. Turns out those are handles on a ships wheel.

@Darkseid_of_town thanks, picked these up at the Grit city con yesterday.

I seem to come across a dealer in northwest shows that has tons of boxes of comics in old bags for cheap.
I bought the Mister Miracles off him.
They were $3-$5 each.
Didn't realize I already had a 7 and 9 so have doubles of them now.
The comics code romance were all $5-$8 each.
And the Ace comics were $20_$30 each.

TOS 59, was a replacement book I sold years ago.
Supes 233 a upgrade and Defenders 1 a book for my picture frame collection, those three books were bought off another vendor.
He had a Hawkman 4 that may have been about 4.0 for $1k.
Unfortunately I didn't bring a lot of money to the con.
With visiting 3 comic shops in Portland and now the con in Tacoma.
Been a big comic book week for me.

Upgrades except for the Cap 151.
Doom sure liked his control panels during the Bronze Age.

Don’t quit now; You need the the no Diamond Newstand!

I have a few including one in a 9.6, but you're probably right- If I find a Universal 9.8 NS at a price I can live with, the idiot in me will likely get it, and I hate barcodes LOL. Just not as much as the diamond.

Forgot to post these (unless I forgot I posted them ).
