@KatKomics That does look like an interesting series. But who drinks a bottle of Midori?

@obrie2tm I sure like a lot of the books you pick up. Seems like every time you post one I either have it or want it.

@flanders Nice closet set up. Silver Surfer #16 in 9.0....nice. That Fantastic Four is a good looking book too.

I bought a box of about 200 comics from a guy over the weekend. He was adamant that he sell as one sale, and firm on price of $1 per comic. I flipped through the box, and they were all bronze or copper age Marvels. I was confident that, if nothing else, I could use it as filler for the next time I set up at a comic show, as I think all of the comics could be sold for more than $1. I went through them in more detail yesterday as I had the football games on. Here are some of the highlights.

Same guy has another box of comics, priced at more than $1, but still at more than fair prices. I got a great deal on these three.

His craziness may have subconsciously influenced this decision I made a few months ago...but then again I was already crazy.

Just picked this one up on the cheap. Solid 6.0 with vivid yellow, maybe better with a press. Will press and slab it. I love it that she looks so pissed!

Recent addition. Nice representation of cold war paranoia. You know, if we'd have had an Atomic War I bet this would have gone up, but I am glad we didn't anyway. Should I slab it? At least a 4.5 I think.

Picked this one up cheap. Thinking about slabbing it. Probably a 3.0 or so. Looks better in-person and some defects like the black pen mark on 'OUTER SPACE!' are on the bag not the book. Should I do it? Is it worth slabbing? I do like these early Marvel monster books. Opinions please.

@MrNotSoNice I wouldn't bother slabbing the pre hero monster book.

I think those books in that grade sell the same as graded ones
And there are collectors like myself who buy these books raw to read.

Unless you pick up a key like first Fin Fang Foom or the book would hit a grade around a 7- plus I wouldn't.

I did get one graded at a 6.0 but I got the grading for free otherwise I'd probably grade something else more valuable.
