As far as creating Deadpool, thats a little bit of a different idea for me at least....he took Deathstroke, gave him a different costume, and voila....I mean...cmon, Slade Wilson, Wade Wilson? Even Stan Lee told him at the time, all that is, is Deathstroke in a different outfit.
So then Liefeld left Marvel and the character for years...along come multiple other writers, and artists that flesh out Deadpool and give him some of his famous draws, and chops ...and back comes Liefeld telling everyone how things should and should not be done. Along with that come his notorious temper tantrums, drama fits, and refusals to sign this book, but not that one and yada yada.
I can give you he deserves some credit for his work and so on...but when people say he created Deadpool I kinda cringe , sorry.
No disrespect intended GAC and I am sure you have reasons for what you think yourself.
Well I can't disagree with you...still, some people like him and his art. which is what's so cool about it (art in general)....some people think new kids on the block, 98 degrees or n'sync are the greatest artists of all time...others will say Beatles, Stones or Pink Floyd. We may all have strong opinions one way or the other but at the end of the day, it's just an opinion....everyone's opinion is correct. |
