I was looking at Static #1 and notice that cgc says static is first appearance.I say thats wrong.My first appeance for Static was in Icon #1.I dont even see it called first cameo on ebay.They are doing the same thing with Spawn.I see Spawns real first appeance is on Stan Lee Presents:The Comic Book Greats Dec 1991.Very hard to find    |

| It gets nebulous. I see the Icon issue says it’s a preview. Sometimes a preview is counted as a first appearance in the public eye (I’m talking to you, ASM 365) and sometimes it isn’t (100 Bullets #1, Vs. Preacher #51). |

| The truth is, we’re at the mercy of the market when it comes to what issue demands the premium. If you’re a fan of a character, it doesn’t hurt to grab previews & cameos. It makes your collection that much more complete. And if the character takes off, it’s a safe bet those books will climb in value/demand. |
