There is a raw comic I want to buy and then submit for grading. The cover has a 3/4” tear that has a tape repair on the inside. Nice grade 5.0-ish book otherwise. Would this book come back with a Restored grade? If the book is otherwise a 5.0, might it come back as at least a 4.0? I don’t really want it if it will grade less than a 4.0![]() ![]() |

| Tape would not constitute restoration. Depending on the amount of tape and the condition of the book it could limit the highest grade possible to about a 7.0 Larger pieces of tape are allow at 5.5 and below so the book could possibly still grade at a 5.0 with the tape but that is no guarantee |

| Some form of “tape added” notation would be put on the label. | ||
