I brought my first comic bin from Midtown Comics right around the time they first released them. I brought 4 of them that day. I gave up on cardboard short boxes and never looked back. I've moved twice in the last 15 months (don't ask) and haven't had one book get damaged.

I was talking to a few dealers at a convention here last weekend who all had the BCW graded boxes there for their graded comics for sale, and while all love them, they all said to be careful because when they are full of slabs, the sides can separate a bit so they fixed that by adding a bead of Gorilla Glue while reassembling them and that seemed to solve the problem.

I haven’t run into that problem but it’s a good thing to keep in mind. It might also be a good idea to keep some gorilla glue handy!!! 😁

Someone else mentioned having to squeeze them back together. However, I won't be moving them around as much as a dealer going from show to show.

When you push them together, sometimes you can get a solid click and know the pieces are "locked" together. But you don't always hear or feel that click.
