Picked this up the other week and love the placement and clarity on the stamp. Anyone else a fan of date stamps?

I don't mind them when they are part of a pedigree, but otherwise I don't really care for them.

I'll stop hijacking the thread after this, but can you spot the major flaw on this FF1 that allowed me to afford it?

Bingo. 3 digit price vs 5 digit price. I'm not usually a fan of reprints but this was the best option available to me, and it's not like these were printed in the 90's or anything.

I prefer to obtain clean books with no writing or marks, so I avoid any books with date stamps as well.

Pictures? We don't need no stinking pictures. brysb private msg quote post Address this user
Wondering if there are any individuals out there who would purposely date stamp their old comics??
Post 28 IP   flag post
Collector Venomous72 private msg quote post Address this user
@brysb that would be weird, it doesn’t increase the value as collectors are usually split on stamps. So trying to be sneaky with restoration to increase a selling price I can see, but purposely stamping a book with a date would be odd (assuming we are not a newsstand in the 60s)
