| @EbayMafia That is because it isn't dark, gritty, nor directed/produced by Zack Synder. It is hopeful and kid friendly like the comics it is based upon. In other words, it is a movie a family with younger kids can enjoy together. | ||

| Am I the only one that enjoyed the Wonder woman movie. Thought that was great and the last batman movies with Bane and joker and begins. I did enjoy the first Shazam movie. Unfortunately I think DC tv shows have a better chance then movies. I liked Flash and legends of tomorrow. |

| The 1973 series Shazam #1 is actually the first Silver Age appearance of Captain Marvel (Shazam). It currently lags far behind Shazam #28 which is the first Silver Age appearance of Black Adam. This is probably because it had a much, much larger print run and is pretty easy to find. The series was hyped by DC at the time but was not a success and I think it ended after about 35 issues. That said, a few nights ago with the help of @heinzdad I doubled down on my investment of Shazam #1 with full intentions of selling the books before the movie comes out. I bought through MCS and they seem to have already restocked their online raw inventory if anyone is interested in taking the speculation plunge with me and @heinzdad. Don't be fooled, there are a lot of copies of this book on the market currently. Though I generally just check out heritage auctions, If I had a dollar for every week I've seen a Shazam 1 go up for auction over last 3 years I could buy a Spidey 300 With that said when you look at Spidey 300 and the amount graded and the FMV Print runs sometimes isn't a factor in increased value. |

| @southerncross I know what you're saying and I'm not planning my retirement around Shazam #1. But I'm figuring a 9.0 should be around $175 before the second movie hits the theaters. Right now MCS has several copies under $80 that can probably be improved to a 9.0 before slabbing. These books will be a great candidate for the lower priced CBCS Raw Grade option. |
