I'm gonna be traveling thru Seattle next week and will have a few hours each day on Sunday and Monday near the Seattle/Tacoma airport. I'd love to hear any suggestions you all might have as to which comic shops to visit and which to avoid. I'm mostly interested in a good selection of Silver and Bronze Age Marvels. I like stores with decent lighting and plenty of wall books. I have zero interest in spending what few hours I have digging in an unorganized mess of long boxes. Some shops I see are: Arcane, Dreamstrands, Amazing Heroes, Grumpy Old Man's, Phoenix, Mighty Moose, Ancient, Action City, and Hills of Comics. There's likely more. | ||

My 2 lcs in Seattle are Grumpy old man, he has new issues and back issues and wall books. The other is Ancient comics in Burien. Burien is close to the airport. He has no new issues and just has back issues and wall books. I've picked up key books off those 2 shops over the years. And as I said they are my lcs. With ancient comics his more expensive books are upstairs. Ancient comics is Geoff He knows me as the Australian guy buying curious black Lois lane issues. Grumpy old man owner is Allen. He knows me as Michael the Australian. |
