I’d go with ‘Halloween’, but ‘The Thing’ is great.

No particular order:

The Day the Earth Stood Still (original)
Equilibrium
Star Trek First Contact
Dark City
Contact

If Mad Max/Road Warrior is considered SciFi...they would have to be included above but I didn't consider them scifi.

I love ‘First Contact’. Easily my favorite Next Gen movie & probably my favorite “Trek” film in general.

And ‘Day the Earth Stood Still’ is a legit classic. You’re making me wanna revisit it.

Hey guys, is Spielberg’s ‘Duel’ good?

I haven’t seen it & the 4k is up for pre-order (GRUV actually has an exclusive steelbook version).

If you are talking about Hauer, don’t forget Blind Fury and Hobo with a Shotgun, both B-movie classics.

Here’s most of what has arrived since my last update:

And these are listed above, but I’m extra excited about today’s deliveries! Especially, ‘Creature’ in 4k & a physical release of ‘Prey’!

And I forgot to include ’Mask of the
Phantasm’. The Best Buy exclusive includes an ashcan reprint of the comic adaptation.

@00slim I’ve been meaning to pick up the Mask of the Phantasm 4k just for the reprint!

I also really want the 30 Rock blu ray, especially since a few episodes have been removed from streaming due to the blackface. I still have the original dvd releases but it is one of my favorite shows so I do want to upgrade

@dielinfinite I mostly upgraded “30 Rock” because having them all in one smaller box saves a lot of space on my shelf compared to the individual seasons.

Plus … Tina Fey. ❤️

If you’ve seen this, it’s pretty cheap on Amazon at the moment.

If you haven’t seen it & you’re a fan of grounded crime dramas, or Aubrey Plaza, it’s on Netflix right now.

A few recent pickups.

Bummed to hear Best Buy will discontinue the sale of physical media early next year. This was probably what made me pull the trigger on the steelbook edition of ‘The Blob’ (1988).

@00slim dang, I hadn’t heard of that! Sucks that physical media is getting a smaller and smaller presence

I’d better load up on any Best Buy exclusive releases I’ve had my eye on
