| I know that CGC give ASM # 238 without Tatooz a qualified grade but what is CBCS's policy on this? Any info is greatly appreciated. | ||

| It's factored into the grade. If the insert is still in the book and the tattooz are cleanly removed, you're probably looking at no better than around 8.5. Note that other defects on the book would drop the grade from there. |

| I seem to recall reading (and I very well could be wrong) that you could substitute tattoos from another book from the same time period and the graders wouldn't know the difference. Any truth to this? | ||
