Great book, hope you don't lose it in the divorce if your wife ever touches your comic books again. Just who the hell does she think she is? lol. Tell her "you don't know me like that".

Monster book for sure and so hard to get nowdays pricewise. I am curious why do people obscure the serial number? Is stealing the serial and creating a fake label a thing that much nowdays?

@Darkseid_of_town Usually, it has to do with the CGC registry.

I’ve never understood pretending you own a book & I never will. People are petty.

Oh that makes sense, although wow, that really seems childish to do that.

So I could make myself a registry Big Baller just by finding the serial numbers of high-grade books and entering them. No proof of ownership needed until it's disputed?

@EbayMafia I’m not sure of the inner workings of it, but that is the impression I get.

That's exactly what you can do.
As long as that serial number is not being used in the registry already.

so the next step for those of us not interested in having a registry is offer to "sublet" our owned serial numbers?

I'm just going to spend the next month entering every serial number I can find on Ebay or MCS. Then if someone else tries to enter the number they will have to file a dispute. After I drag it out and ignore the registry dispute for 3 months I'll be like "Oh yeah, I sold that one on Ebay, my bad".
