I have a facsimile of GL #85, the drug edition. Signed by Neal Adams. It's pretty cool. I definitely am keeping it in the collection, but I probably won't get it graded or anything.

Having a book like that signed is definitely a incentive for grading but everyone is different, especially if it's for the PC.

I’ve got several. They are great for books that I’m probably not going to buy for the pile of cash required, right now. But, I also like to get ones of books I have. It’s cool to have a reprint and the original. |

If it was the real one, I'd definitely get it graded, I got 4 others from him that are at CBCS now for sig verification and such. But the facsimile is just a kinda cool cover with his signature on it. Quote: Originally Posted by Comicninja0215 |

Then there are foreign editions like these from Australia. The Murray's were almost always published in black and white so you can really see the artwork. |

So, what’s everyone think of reprints? Like X-Men Classic, or heck the run from 70-94, marvel tales, marvel super action, etc..? I’m starting to pick up more of those just because they are super cheap. |

@dielinfinite Would you have slabbed those if they weren’t signed? I ask because I’m wondering if it’s worth slabbing some of these reprints. |

Probably not, but I also have tons of books worthy of slabbing that I haven’t been in a hurry to slab (like a Daredevil 2-15 run) because they’re not signed |

@dielinfinite Gotcha! I was just curious. I’ve been shifting my focus to some reprints and I’m trying to absorb as much info as possible. I just got a pretty sweet Marvel Tales 137 ( I think?) coming in. That’s the reprint of AF 15. I love that book and artwork a lot, but it’ll probably some time before the real deal is in my reach. |

@Jabberwookie I have all those Marvel Tales that reprint AF15 and ASM 1-50. I love ‘em! I also have all those comics in both the essentials and masterworks format, I love those comics that much! I used to have most of the originals but sold them about 15 or so years ago to bail my wife out on her credit card. I don’t have the Classic X-men issues but I do have them in Essentials and/ or Masterworks. I have pretty much the entirety of Silver age and most of the Bronze Age in these formats. I used to have many of the actual comics but I sold most of them back when I lost my job in 2006. I have long since accepted that it’s reprints for me now.

@michaelekrupp Aww, man. Sorry to hear that, but I’m right there with you on reprints being cheaper. All great books to have had though. I wish they did more reprint series, though. |
