I wish I had a title. ComicNinja0215 private msg quote post Address this user
Just wanted to know what everyone's thoughts were about these editions of classic stories. I have a few in my collection because I like the characters and would probably have to rob fort Knox to buy an original at this point. Is there a classic comic you would love to see reprinted this way and why??

For me, It's Avengers 4.

Now you!

those Mexican original Spiderman comics would be fun

any of the UK Captain Britain stuff from the early 80s (marvel super-heroes or The Daredevils)

@comixcited There is a true believers version of DD1 but nothing like the original one.

@Comicninja0215 Is it that the True Believers editions don't have the original ads and stuff like the Facsimile Editions?

When I buy slabs books like my True love secrets 23 I buy them on my Kindle for $2.99 plus tax and they have the ad pages and everything in them.

Cover, 8 pages before the staples, 8 pages after, back cover. MrNotSoNice private msg quote post Address this user
I have a lot of reprints, like Marvel Tales, etc. for when I want to read a classic comic in paper comics form. I suppose facsimile copies are OK, but I hate hate hate the replica comics sold on eBay. I think that is downright intellectual property theft. End of speech

@MrNotSoNice It's definitely different when the IP Owner releases a facsimile reprint than when some random guy on the internet prints off some photocopies and sells them for $30+ (or any amount, really)

I love the Official facsimiles. many are worth collecting; like the marvel milestones and the action figure pack-ins. If you’re looking for any in particular get them now. The AF 15, X-men 1, GSX 1 milestone editions and even the true believers ASM 361 have been steadily climbing with the outrageous market for the OGs.

@HulkSmash I have noticed! Haha and I think it's because of what I had mentioned aboce; I you can buy the original, get the reprint. The market truly is crazy haha

I think those reprint editions are worth money in those hardcore collections.
The ones in a hard cardboard box that have a hardcore book and then a single reprint issue of a comic.

It’s really annoying when people don’t read the description or look at the photos to know what they’re buying.

Like this example where someone thought my true believers thunderbolts was a NM original Hulk 449 priced at $15.

Come one...

I guess i need to add “reprint” in the description to idiot proof it.

I have a facsimile of GL #85, the drug edition. Signed by Neal Adams. It's pretty cool. I definitely am keeping it in the collection, but I probably won't get it graded or anything.

Having a book like that signed is definitely a incentive for grading but everyone is different, especially if it's for the PC.

I’ve got several.

They are great for books that I’m probably not going to buy for the pile of cash required, right now.

But, I also like to get ones of books I have.

It’s cool to have a reprint and the original.
