This is my January 2021 submission. Guessing the books are sitting and waiting its turn to be graded.

Did you ever try clicking on the invoice in the top right corner when you open up your order? That should, and I stress should, show you the updates. The website says they'll email you the progress but I've never had that happen.

My invoice link was never updated. I think it works for some but not for me. So I sent several emails and finally got a response. ComicNinja0215 sums it up, its just a waiting game for now. Hope its graded soon and the same for everyone else here

@wildmind indeed it is. If submitting to cgc taught me anything it's that a watched pot never boils, just be patient . It's worth it.

Mine has not changed since day 1, no matter if I look at dash board or invoice, ect. so how do all these other people know their comic is in pressing or grading, ect ect. This is my first ever since leaving CGC and I only sent 1 comic, I am also worried because when I sent it I insured it for 400 dollars, now here we are just5 months later but I honestly now need more insurance on this comic. any input or help would be so appreciated. Keep in mind I am a vet with a slight brain injury so I sometimes have trouble from that. How can some follow their comics every step of the way yet I'm just processing day after day. Peace

I'm not an expert on this stuff, but I think you have to pay for the grading before it starts in the process. That invoice shows a balance due. I might be wrong though.

@timberghost If your books have been recieved, you will be ok. I understand it's your first submission but as someone who's been doing it since the company opened, I would just say don't drive yourself crazy trying to keep tabs on the process. I have 6 orders currently in house at CBCS totaling about 120 books. There's 2 steps for me...I check with the USPS site to make sure they've arrived and eventually I get an Email from CBCS that they've been opened and put in process. If they arrived safely, you've done your part and the rest is out of your control. If you've done something wrong, they will contact you. If you've done nothing wrong, everything will go as planned, it will just take longer than usual because of the high submission volume. It's time to have a drink, relax and find something else to distract you until you get the email saying they are in shipping.

yeah, I'm just trying to understand hoe CBCS works as I have more I want to submit, I know a lot of cgc people have been having some horrible things and are jumping to cbcs, so it just makes me wonder if I should submit all these other books or not. I don't mind being patient as out in the field I sometimes had to wait while wearing a chemical suit for days while draining the sweat that would begin to drown you in the mask ever few hours. I understand they are swamped. Just trying to get a feel how some can follow their comics every step of the way while others are like me and have no clue. Are the grader notes pretty much information as I would really like to see those on my books, I think more as a learning tool as much as just interesting to know how much detail they give, but I may be in the wrong section for that question??.

@timberghost Think of it like an airplane flight. Might take 4 hours or could take up to 6 hours...We all have the same view, only the pilot has the true insight and even his information is temporary and could change. The experienced fliers sit back, have a drink and watch a movie. The new fliers anxiously look out the window, wonder what city they are flying over, question if they are going the right direction or even on the right plane...and ask the flight attendant for progress updates every 30 minutes.
You will get the grader notes when you get the grades...once the books have shipped back to you. You will also be able to access the grader notes any time you want by scanning the unique code on the back of the slab.

In regards to the graders notes, CBCS is much better. I had a few books pressed and graded by CGC, the graders notes imply that they have pressable defects. I don't see how that's possible since they just pressed it. CBCS words it to where it is a given if pressing will help.

I'm showing a "Pay Balance" button on my orders even though I provided a credit card with the submission. From what I've read, CBCS bills your card when they're ready and have any revised totals. Am I wrong? The TAT is already slow. I don't want to be holding it up.

..and every now and then your plane crashes, leaving you stranded on an island wondering when, if ever, you'll be shipped home.
