My order from March is in production according to an email I just got. It had press screen with fast press as well as fast pass; I wasn't expecting it to be this speedy though.

At least CBCS Canada is sending books down to Dallas.

My April 9th order is now received and moved to pressing

I don't actually consider this too long of a delay - 7 weeks from when they physically received....and about 5 weeks of that is CBCS Dallas to enter into their system

Begs the question...where the hell are my 'ShitToCanada' books week 12 and week 10 now!!!

Received March 25 (likely actually received a day or two earlier)

Radio Silence

Into production Wednesday, ready to ship June 3.

I did get charged today as well, so the books I marked for press screening passed and were (fast) pressed in that window. The order is all moderns.

I'm very happy about the grading too! I was a little disappointed that Batman #1 was only a 7.5, but it is signed by David Finch and Tom King so it should hold some value still! Over the moon about the run of 9's.

Curious if anyone is aware of a rubric published that may explain the difference between a 9.8 and a 10. Both of my 9.8s just say "signatures verified" under notes. Is it possible to get a 10 with a verified signature?

@MalacorV a 9.8 is basically a 'perfect' book but a 10 is like the epitome of a perfect book. 10s can't have even small manufacturer's defects, for example. But they can be signed. Practically speaking, you see more 9.9s and 10s on the cardstock cover type books that are a little thicker and more resilient. Look up Batman Damned, for example.

That said, 9.8s typically don't have any notes to say why they aren't a 9.9 or 10, and there will be people happy to tell you that a 10 is a made-up grade.

Based on other posts, I'm thinking a big delivery from Canada has finally been triaged. My submissions were a week apart but set to 'Processing' within minutes of each other.

Thanks for the info! That makes a lot of sense to me. Very excited to officially be *in* the hobby now. I'm looking forward to sending more books into CBCS - hopeful that the TAT will decrease in the next few months

I have been calling and emailing customer service, Stacey at Beckett and Nancy at Beckett every day for weeks. I keep getting told they're forwarding my inquiry to the correct people for resolution but resolution never comes. All I'm requesting is knowledge of where my re-holder submission (1 book) is and my slab-only/VSP (3 book) submission is. No one can seem to tell me this. Status has been in Shipping for months.

@Lonestar Normally, I've conditioned myself to not get too wound about TAT's. 12 weeks, 26 weeks, 42 weeks .... I just have waited in the past and all was cool.

However, when you see an invoice "change" status. And the change in status is to "Labels"; one knows historically you're close to the finish line. So when that finish line moves for 5 weeks.... well then a whole new brand of conditioning myself has to be learned yet again. And that is to not listen to the status change triggers. It'll kill ya.

My order went to "Labels" about 5 weeks ago, then back to "Grading", then "Labels" again. I thought my order did a loop de loop, and was back on track. But now it's in "Grading" again. I guess they are looking for a third opinion!

@GAC it's insane.

UD is obviously sending books down to CBCS Dallas - just had my April order get received - I guess though that sending books is much easier than sorting into Canada Post or FedEx and then arranging the pickup.

@KatKomics Good point, yeah, I don't know what the problem is...if they can send to Dallas, you'd think they could return within Canada. The hold up is nuts. If our books are indeed in Oakville...why on earth are they not moving? It can't be that they need a certain amount before shipping (like they do to send to Dallas).

@Nuffsaid111 Someone else posted in this thread that the most important thing to focus on is the current overall TAT, and not anything else like status changes on the dashboard or invoice. Based upon when my order was received and the current 13 weeks TAT, I have another two weeks before my order is done.

man!! I never get responses to my e-mails!!

Shocked that the customer "service" provider doesn't have some sort of SLA (service level agreement) in place where there are penalties - i.e. they get paid less!!! - if certain KPI's (key performance indicators) aren't met. The CBCS customer support would basically be working for free or owe $$ to CBCS for the quality "service" provided.

Did you ever try clicking on the invoice in the top right corner when you open up your order? That should, and I stress should, show you the updates. The website says they'll email you the progress but I've never had that happen.

My invoice link was never updated. I think it works for some but not for me. So I sent several emails and finally got a response. ComicNinja0215 sums it up, its just a waiting game for now. Hope its graded soon and the same for everyone else here

Mine has not changed since day 1, no matter if I look at dash board or invoice, ect. so how do all these other people know their comic is in pressing or grading, ect ect. This is my first ever since leaving CGC and I only sent 1 comic, I am also worried because when I sent it I insured it for 400 dollars, now here we are just5 months later but I honestly now need more insurance on this comic. any input or help would be so appreciated. Keep in mind I am a vet with a slight brain injury so I sometimes have trouble from that. How can some follow their comics every step of the way yet I'm just processing day after day. Peace
