| Holy crap this thread hurt my head. So much silly. Truth is both companies make mistakes, both in grading, QC, shipping...both. I have 3 subs to CBCS, 2 came back with pretty big errors. I have 4 subs to CGC, 2 mistakes. CGC had fixable mistakes, they fixed them. I've seen books from both companies with questionable grades. Neither is perfect. Neither can ever be perfect. Both can be better. Choose who you like for whatever reason you want. |

| I'm just trying to read through the entire thread from the beginning (which is giving me a migraine), but it seems as if he feels that overvaluation of accuracy is purposeful; not unintentional when obvious errors in grading occur? But then later there's some words about it being unintentional, and even later on there's some wording around deterioration of condition within slabs? I dunno... I guess I'm confused. |

| Hey all, What Adam fails to mention is that he was not banned for criticizing CGC. He was most likely banned for being non-stop argumentative with everyone and anyone that offered a point that did not align with his. Ultimately it got to the point that he invited others to physically fight him in Merced, California, his hometown. I would not know where he lived unless he publicly issued that specific challenge to others, Merced, California is now the new Phil's Parking Lot. He received a time out and after that came right back at it in other threads. Carry on and enjoy him. Hopefully he learns from that. Hi Adam, I lurk and visit here as the CBCS boards are also filled with information and users that are well versed in the hobby. Many people here are members of both forums. There is a WEALTH of information that you will find over here from many members that have spent years if not decades in this hobby. Hopefully, you play it better this time. Let me provide an example. I visit the Golden Age and Original Art areas of the CGC boards almost every day. People will rarely find me posting there though because I simply close my mouth and learn. Even after ten years, there is so much to just sit back and learn from the veterans. There is a lot to learn here. Sit back and learn. See you all in a week and I hope all is well with you guys. |
