What happens to all the planned entertainment content on all the streaming services when everyone goes back to work? It isn't like people will have the time to watch it all. Do the streaming services start consolidating?

What's been happening to streaming numbers over the past year? You would think if it was particularly tied to employment that they would have been dropping steadily the past 12 months.

Travel channel went to releasing new episodes of previously aired shows to the Discovery+ site. So far, it's been a couple months, I have not seen those episodes available on the cable channel. I can see more stations doing this. It will get to the point where you will get new episodes online before they are aired. Which means, basically, that cable will be full of reruns.

As for streaming services consolidating, I can see that happening. I don't think it will be from viewership loss though. It just seems like an eventual progression of things to me.

I agree with Jesse...things will just not likely support Netflix, hulu, hbomax, disney, and all the dozens of other platforms, mostly which charge a fee

With the amount of money being dropped into each show and movie you'd think that they would have to just to stay afloat.

Wtf

I just saw prices for the miller Wolverine 1

6 months ago my lcs had 3 of these.

I picked up the newstand copy as it was stapled originally without a cover then stapled with the cover.
So 2 staples thru the cover and 4 staples holding the pages.
I like quirky manufacturing error books.

Anyway it looks 9.4 as is raw and I paid $40

Wish I bought the other 2 at $40 each as I said wtf with the prices they are now selling for 😂

@southerncross you think that's bad, look at prices for the ongoing Wolverine #1. A desirable book, sure, but Wolverine had only been in about 150 issues of Uncanny by then, plus the miniseries.

Can anyone help me price a rare slab first to market?
I have the Love is Love convention edition all black cover, 1st Harry Potter, only 8 on the census and 6 are 9.8s, I have one, can't find another for sale.
There's a regular edition 9.8 on Ebay for 999 so I priced it at 1299 on ebay but it's a straight guess.
Anyone with better insight how to price a rare slab 1st to market that's been hot?

Has anyone submitted trading cards to CGC? My youngest used to collect Pokemon cards. I've done a little sales research and he has some with a little value ($100 range).

If you're not submitting more 50 cards the cost is $23.75 per card ($14.25/card if more than 50 cards subbed) and FedEx shipping cost was $100. This seems insanely expensive to grade and ship cards.

I just saw that someone sold an ASM 300 9.8 signed by McFarlane for $25,000. In my life I've purchased only 1 vehicle that was more than $25,000. It was a 2 year old used Land Cruiser that I still have now, 15 years later. Is money even real anymore?

Don’t have an answer for you, but appreciate that you asked here instead of starting a new thread 😉

No to both, you don't have to ask questions and you have unlimited thread starting privileges (currently).

If you start a thread called "Answer questions that were never asked"...I will be a big contributor.

Curious, who uses a label maker to make labels for the comic titles on dividers, who uses a marker, and who does not use dividers? I use labels on my PC boxes and on my show boxes.

I don't use dividers

I use drawers. I have 5 I use.

2 slab drawers and 3 non slabbed drawer

Marvel picture frame drawer and 72 collection

Old book drawer

And my drek drawer

Been adding books lately so I'll have to use another one.
Luckily we have space. 👍

why do people keep bidding against me on essentially nothing books?

it's because they are Star Wars books isn't it?
Even nothing SW books have spec don't they? I'm just trying to complete a run - no speculation involved - bastardos!!

It's a kind of sickness. It's a genetic flaw found in many of us collectors. It's why we also secretly dream of owning our very own second hand/junk store and having people bring their unrecognized treasures to us from all over the world.

I grew up with 3 goats and 2 sheep. The mullet was just my way of showing the world that I intended to rise above my natural station in life, lol. You have no idea how thankful I am that cell phone cameras wouldn't be around for a good 15 years after my mullet days. No pics= didn't happen.
