I'm going through ny collection with the CGC notes and a few books seem like pressing candidates. I haven't pulled the books to actually look at the books yet. But one has finger bends throughout the entire book.

Why is market value dictated on the bids of at least 2 and at most 30 bidders on multiple auctions over a 6 month period?

Quote:Originally Posted by southerncross Well auctions are useful for information because it tells you what the second-most interested bidder was willing to pay for the item at that time. Presumably that person moves up in line after the auction and becomes the first-most interested party in the next available version. However, I think that Ebay auctions in particular show an artificially low FMV because sniping has turned off many potential buyers like myself. We would rather just pay a premium to get what we want when we want it vs. trying to dodge sniper fire in hopes of getting a better deal. Or we will just use the weekly MCS auction for both buying and selling or some other auction that doesn't allow sniping. In particular, I would never try to sell a CBCS slabbed book in an Ebay auction but I've sold many in MCS auction. |

When did Daredevil #168 in 9.8 become a $4,500 book?

Hello comic fans, Happy Holidays to everyone! A couple of questions here. 1. Why do publishers list books in previews and not provide the cover art? It's a bit confusing and frustrating. If an issue has two or more variant covers and no cover art is shown, there's no way to tell which copy I will prefer to order...... I think they should not be allowed to list the books in previews until they have the cover art to provide for the catalogue. Just makes more since for fans to be able to see what the cover art looks like before pre-ordering. 2. Why do some pre-order sites show the cover art, lets say, for Image comics and DC comics and not for Marvel or Boom, yet a different company will show cover art for Marvel & Image, and not for Image or DC, and another company only has Image and nothing for any other publisher? I don't get it... Any thoughts out there? |

@Nearmint67 #1 has been a frustration for me, but my guess at it is that the art isn't finalized yet. Previews come out some amount of time ahead of publication and the cover may not exist yet. I couldn't say about #2. Maybe something to do with where they get their books (or at least the images for their books)? |

I feel like it would take a lot of comics to require a “cart”. Should MCS offer an “Add to basket” option instead?

So. If a buyer flakes out on a purchase on ebay is there any way to give them a negative feedback? It seems as though only positive feedback is the only option.
