The absolutes are supposed to be better for reading. The omnibus (omnibuses?)look nicer. I don't own either yet but plan to purchase the absolute editions the next time I see them at a convention.

If you're just looking to read the story go with the trades. Vol 1 has the 1st 8 issues. You'll need vol 2 to get thru #10 but I don't think you'll be unhappy being able to read the rest of that chapter.

Another option is to listen to the audible editions. They were both outstanding. I've listened to th both multiple times and are my go to when I just need something to listen and relax with.

On Ebay that a lot of listings have the publication year in the title. So much so that I use Ebay search when I need to figure out what year a specific comic was published. Does anyone know why? Is there some search value to adding the publication year to the title? I've never done it.

Sometimes there are different titles that are of different volume numbers. The date helps differentiate the volumes. However, putting it on some books that don't have multiple volumes is a mystery to me.

3 high grade copies of Daredevil 181 (death of Elektra) sold Tuesday on Ebay, including two 9.8's for $350 each. My MCS auction for a raw MCS 8.5 (probably 9.4) has run up to $66 already, more than I asked as a fixed price listing. Was there some announcement yesterday that involves this book?

Publication year is also one of the fields you're prompted to fill in now when you list something for sale, so it might be more obvious to sellers themselves now.

Personally, I use MCS to look up publication dates.

yes and send it with inadequate insurance and if it was damaged in transit without visible package damage I’d complain that that it was reholdered anyway.

no. Not directed at you. Being snarky

It would also be unwise to talk to someone like that who owns a Rottweiler.

What in the world is going on here? My MCS auction for raw DD 181 (MCS 8.5) is now at $105. I've had this book listed with them for a year at $50-$70. They have a CBCS 9.4 available for $100 and a CGC 9.6 for $129. What gives?

@EbayMafia zooming in on my phone I see only a minor blunt to the left bottom corner, that looks similar to a production tear on a lot of spines that doesn't affect the grade. Looks like at least 2 bidders chasing a 9.8.

There's also Bullseye rumors and your cover presents better than the slabs that have the comics code cut off.

If bidders are chasing 9.8s they need a stronger prescription. I am not talking for glasses either.
