Interesting. Looks like it was included in 16 different DC titles from November 1982.

Wikifrickinpedia Link

Crazy..I would think it would be worthless as it was taken out of the comic it was attached to

Looks like I have at least 1 of the titles issues it was in

MCS even has a 9.8 for slightly more and it's still in the book it's supposed to be in - pretty sure you could get raw NM for $30 or less of ebay

Sold for $83 since I posted it last night.

Kind of like grading tattoo inserts? Or 3D glasses inserts

Curiosity question...
If any of the books that had these inserts are graded without the insert in them, is it noted?

Thank you for reminder. I would imagine glass is a no go as well.

I got the ooni koda 16 I think. (It's the larger gas only oven.) My brother loves cooking so I figured I'd give him another toy to play with. It was on sale for black friday.

That is a very cool (well, until fired up) gift.

how long does it usually take for graders notes to be loaded? I got my books a couple weeks ago but no notes as of yet

Some comic prices are stupid. This is beyond stupid.

And then this would be…?

I’m barely getting started.

Point being, there is speculative activity beyond just MCU books or comics generally. It is a current mentality. There is also less “real” wealth than apparent in these record prices as converting most of that wealth is likely to diminish that wealth… with no negative real world or productivity effects.

It is also to say there remains massive long term, real upside in historic comics with limited supply. Contrary to my views on some parts of the market, there are other parts of the market that may “seem” expensive through a comic collector’s eyes… but are likely massively undervalued. AC1 as a glaring example. It will likely - within just 10-20 years, be an 8 figure book in any grade.

It just needs the right context.

I won’t derail this thread further ;-)

They only show up on my actual order which is still showing as open. Recently graded is showing as blank even tho I have the books.

If you search using the certification number for each book and nothing is returned, then more than likely someone at CBCS needs to mark the order as completed/shipped in order for the information to show.

There is some solace in knowing reprints are available. That is how I read older copies due to their value. Online options are there too but not as appealing to me personally.

Reprints aren’t the same but the same sentiment can be applied to fine art by the masters… and it is just the reality of supply and demand.

How do you block someone on Ebay? I've done it once before but not in a while. Wish that guy with the "lists" was still here to tell me.

Channel 3 since no station broadcast on that channel in the greater Los Angeles area.

Does anyone still do the Entertainment Coupon Book? I know it's a regional things so I'm curious if it's still around in places? I remember it being a pretty important part of my childhood with those color-coded pages and coupons to movie theatres and restaurants.

@esaravo They were pretty awe-inspiring as a kid. I remember spending significant time going through them and finding the coupons that were like hidden treasure. We had a Nickel Arcade where you paid admission and then all the video games were a nickel. The book usually had a couple half-price admission coupons in it.

@EbayMafia - My mother would purchase ten or 12 books each year and give them out as Christmas gifts (and keep one for herself of course).

@esaravo we never had those specifically around here - we did get thinner booklets in the mail though or just a letter sized envelope with individual coupons -maybe every 2 or 3 months with coupons for local eateries and services etc.- on once in a while there would be something similar where a local arcade or miniput/arcade etc. would have a discount
