And then this would be…?![]() I’m barely getting started. Point being, there is speculative activity beyond just MCU books or comics generally. It is a current mentality. There is also less “real” wealth than apparent in these record prices as converting most of that wealth is likely to diminish that wealth… with no negative real world or productivity effects. It is also to say there remains massive long term, real upside in historic comics with limited supply. Contrary to my views on some parts of the market, there are other parts of the market that may “seem” expensive through a comic collector’s eyes… but are likely massively undervalued. AC1 as a glaring example. It will likely - within just 10-20 years, be an 8 figure book in any grade. It just needs the right context. I won’t derail this thread further ;-) Quote: Originally Posted by DrWatson |

If you search using the certification number for each book and nothing is returned, then more than likely someone at CBCS needs to mark the order as completed/shipped in order for the information to show.

@Davethebrave I'm pleased to see how my $75+ investment has grown over the years but at the same time I'm sorry that more collectors cannot enjoy the older books

How do you block someone on Ebay? I've done it once before but not in a while. Wish that guy with the "lists" was still here to tell me.

Does anyone still do the Entertainment Coupon Book? I know it's a regional things so I'm curious if it's still around in places? I remember it being a pretty important part of my childhood with those color-coded pages and coupons to movie theatres and restaurants. https://www.freestufffinder.com/2020-entertainment-coupon-book-just-14-free-shipping-reg-35-many-options/ |

@esaravo They were pretty awe-inspiring as a kid. I remember spending significant time going through them and finding the coupons that were like hidden treasure. We had a Nickel Arcade where you paid admission and then all the video games were a nickel. The book usually had a couple half-price admission coupons in it.

@EbayMafia - My mother would purchase ten or 12 books each year and give them out as Christmas gifts (and keep one for herself of course).

@esaravo we never had those specifically around here - we did get thinner booklets in the mail though or just a letter sized envelope with individual coupons -maybe every 2 or 3 months with coupons for local eateries and services etc.- on once in a while there would be something similar where a local arcade or miniput/arcade etc. would have a discount
