You should know, publicly questioning the moderators' actions on the forum, like you did above, is also a strict no-no. You aren't allowed to do it, ever. Jesse is a moderator, so he might suspend you for a week, just for talking about how "speechless" you are over his editing, what's the big deal, etc.

And, you are supposed to have read the rules before you post. So being new might not be an excuse for not knowing the rules.

In some cases you may get a warning first before a suspension. I have heard that can happen. But that has not been my experience.

How'd you end up choosing this book to run the test with? I'm thinking if I wanted to test the grading companies I would have used something with lower stakes involved.

This is a strange post from a guy that doesn't care about anyone's opinion asking for opinions on different grading companies and then he says he goes against the grain, so does he care about other's opinions?

Why waste time sending the same comic to different grading companies? You spent over 6 months shipping the same comic back and forth, supposedly. I actually don't believe you at all now that I've reread your original post. Although, with all your contradictory statements you do sound like someone that could be capable of making this type of decision for no rational reason. I'm not sure why your post irritates me so much, it's likely because it's such nonsense, and to add to it, your accusatory nature of CBCS not believing in transparency really grinds my gears.

great question. So I bought uf4 already graded from eBay. It was the only cbcs book I had. My brother has a CGC membership so I submitted it under his membership. I don’t have a cbcs membership or know any one who has one I can use. But I do believe a pond future research now I don’t need a membership to submit a book to cbcs. And pgx doesn’t require one either

I see it completely the opposite: if resell is not a concern ever, just grade them yourself. If resell down the road is a concern, grade them with the 3rd party grader that is the most consistent, the most accurate and is the most likely to have the full faith and confidence of the market 10 years from now. If selling immediately is the plan, grade it with whoever will give you the highest grade or whoever the market will pay a premium for. I sleep easier knowing that 5-10 years from now my comics will still be in CBCS slabs and, unlike the other two companies, they have not done anything to ruin their reputation for comic books graded through todays date.

I never asked anybody opinions on The grading company’s, or meant to ruffle so many feathers I mean damn this this thread has over 50 reply’s now lol. I was just stating my experience and as for your gears well put grease on them

Is that speech to text? I have a friend who does that with his texts. It can be hilarious, how it changes words around.

I believe I will have a pond future, too!

@Mikeoliver1313

Did you send the book to PGX in the CBCS slab? That may explain why it got the same grade 😂

Whenever this debate comes up I always approach it this way:

Both companies have their up's and downs ( I'm talking about the big two) Both companies essentially offer the same product with varying perks.

So in reality, it basically comes down to preference:

Coke or Pepsi
McDonald's or Burger King
Apple or Android
Target or Wal-mart
KFC or Popeye's
( that last one is controversial)

Which of these do you prefer?? I have used both companies and I'd like to say I personally enjoy the CBCS product better and that's just me.

I think that’s that perfect approach and great way of looking at it

@Mikeoliver1313 Its true to certain extent lol . Others may disagree which is fine but that's how I look at it. Where do you like to eat?? where do you like to shop?? who do you want handling your collectables?? Everyone has a favorite place for all of those. They may try other places and find things they like but they'll always come back to where they love to do any of those.

Pepsi, Harveys, Oranges, don't have either in Canada (Target or WalMart),and KFC.....you can say it's objective but that's probably because you chose the wrong one!

I tend to formulate my opinions based on some type of dataset; not what I'm feeling at a particular timeframe in my life.
Living by what makes one happy or upset is often momentary, fleeting, and a snapshot in time.

I've seen enough current complaint data in the last 6 months (including my own) on that other organization to come to a conclusion (and now I'm being emotional) that they are out of control in every area lately - customer service, damages, QC, accuracy, you name it. It's every darn submission now that I have an issue. That's 100% and that is not acceptable.

For me this is no longer about taste preferences.
Big money is on the line and my time is vital to me.
Time & effort dealing with their mistakes, errors, phone calls, damages is well over my threshold.
That threshold has never been even remotely breached by CBCS.
