. Marvel wouldn’t publish a modern-day mainstream comic book that can’t be discussed on a modern-day comic book forum. Or, maybe they will recall it and it will become a collector’s item ![]() |

@CaptainCanuck If you have spent any time on social media I am sure you have seen what a cesspool any forum turns into when politics interrupt otherwise intelligent conversations. For people who want to focus on comics this sort of nonsense ruins an otherwise enjoyable experience. |

For those who have forgotten that comics have always been political, you might consider joining the monthly reading club! We saw last month when reading about deaths in Spider-Man's life that even back in the late 60s/early 70s, when Spidey wasn't worrying over Captain Stacy's death he was worrying about the environment and Vietnam. There are overt references to Ralph Nader, 'law and order' political candidates and their racism, and so on. There hasn't been anything too political so far in the Invincible issues we're reading this month though. | ||

@xkonk Comic books should be grounded in reality so I get why politics are touched upon. At times comic writers can he heavy handed and readers may be turned off by that. While comics can get political this forum should continue to be a oasis free from such squabbles. |
